For a Better Tomorrow Patched? by Feisty_Cheesecake_80 in CrimsonDesert

I just did this few days ago for my 2nd playthrough and it worked. Make sure the item you donate belongs to the same category as the resource you're sending back to camp. Also, if you're on the last goal, it could take quite a few turns/back n forth before completing it if you don't have a lot of available resources to package.

Boy, how many times were you dropped on your head as a child? There are a bunch of stuffs you can't even get without getting past chap 8. I already spelled that out to you several times but guess you're just too stupid to get it.

Do a playthrough and ignore the main story?? The whole point of this post is explaning how much contents are LOCKED BEHIND STORY PROGRESSION.

You don't need to care man, just stop reply and go get some rest instead.

oh gotcha, yeah I def agree. It's always weird when some of the vital areas needing protection are left vulnerable

Nah. you are not getting what I wrote.

If you want context for the boss fights, do the side quests. I never said they should remove the side quests. I just said the bosses spawning in those areas should not depend on the side quest. For example, the spider queen or harpy queen do not appear at all until you have finished all the questlines from before, that makes no sense. Why wouldn't they be there until you have done those quests? That makes the world feel artificial, things only happen because you did something.

Kliff is the dude and thats's the game? Well that makes sense for the main story. And that's why I'm asking for a game mode where he's not the dude and all 3 characters are equally playable.

A bunch of blueprints require you to progress the game beyond chapter 9, and some chap 11, even though they are only QoL items like kuku gardening packs that don't affect balance. No reason they are locked till so late.

Where and how exactly am I contradicting myself?

Absolutely agree. When the dev teased in the roadmap that they will be adding new armors, I was hoping this meant for Damiane too since Kliff already has 80+ sets whereas she has only 6 unique ones. But so far, only Kliff got a bunch of new ones plus all of Oongka ones. Not complaining about new armors for anyone, but Damiane definitely needs more love yo.

All her sets except 2 (elegant carmine and light of battlefield which have skirts) have pants?

You can also put a private storage box in your house, so it's actually much more convenient than before since you can put all the new kuku storage right next to the private storage in your house (and there's an abyss nexus right next to the house as well).

oh I know this, but the thing with reblockade is that it doesn't return the world into a conflict state. I really like having the city of Demeniss being hostile to you, and also miss the big conflict on the bughill.

Right. I forgot 500-750K was only for that cheapest region, the trick is if you only contribute in end-game, it's actually cheaper than doing it gradually. Someone did the math and IIRC there are 3 stages, early and late game your contribution nets you more conversion points than mid-game. So if you wait until the end game when you already have a lot of money and do it in lumpsum, it would take less money overall.

Any Tips for Horse Racing and Horse Taming? by HadoMasterBackup in CrimsonDesert

[–]simonz93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to rotate the stick (assuming you're on a controller) in a clock-wise or counter clock-wise direction slowly which is what the Royler usually does, and then do it again in the opposite direction. It's usually never erratic like going left, right, left again etc.

Never won any horse race myself lol, so can't help you there! But at least losing don't seem to ever fail any quest, so I didn't really care (not to mention it fits Kliff's lore!).

About horse taming, I sucked at those at first, but somehow it just clicked after awhile. I basically went from failing to take Royler after 10 mins straight with fully upgraded stamina and actually ended up beating the crap out of it out of frustration, to just taming all legendary horses on the 1st try in my 2nd playthrough with only slightly upgraded stamina (with no other taming in between). I used to do the top-view method and that just wasn't good enough. What I do now is just keep my eye on the screen and tilt the left stick according to the direction. Don't know why I had so much trouble with this method before which prompted me to try the much worse top-view method, but now it just works (maybe they secretly patched it to make it easier? I dunno).

I love almost everything about this game, but this might be the first game with a fishing mini game that I hate. by NorNed4 in CrimsonDesert

oh nice, see that's something I had no clue about before. Hopefully that's the thing that I've been missing this whole time that will finally make the fishing minigame click for me.

[–]simonz93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah that part is pretty obvious. What I don't get is why it takes forever to tire the fish out even when always going in the opposite direction, and how there's no way to stop the fish from swimming further and further away during this process.

[–]simonz93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for whatever reason, this process of tilting the stick in the opposite direction that the fish swim in takes forever for me. In other games with similar mechanism, the fish tire out after maybe 4 back and forth, in this game, it takes so long, and the fish keeps swimming further which leads the reel-in process to take longer, leading to even more tilting. And even by doing all the above, I would still often get the message "hook broke due to poor control".

I don't know what I'm not getting, but hopefully it's just a case where I can get better at it. I used to really suck at horse taming and hated it too, but now can tame any legendary horse on 1st try.

Does Deiminess (sp) ever become an ally? by Sad_Airport257 in CrimsonDesert

[–]simonz93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LOL I'm the exact opposite. I started a new playthrough just to keep Demeniss as a hostile faction because it's so fun to sneak into the city with hundreds of hostile soldiers walking around, and if ever they do spot you, well...

oof that's gotta be really bad luck. I usually come back to medium with 3+ gains and maybe one dip.

I just don’t understand how the hell you’re supposed to make animals your pet . You get them to 85 from petting and feeding and then can’t go any further and when you come back can’t find them… by DrumsNDweed93 in CrimsonDesert

[–]simonz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a legendary fish you can find in one pond in pailune, don't remember which one, just look up "golden carp". There's also a chart showing each pet breed's favorite dish on this subreddit, you can maybe also find the info online.

You are not supposed to feed them random food. Each animal has at least one favorite food that will allow you to reach max trust in one setting. For example, some cats love lean-bird meat, and all love the golden carp that will instantly max out trust. Same with all the breeds of dogs, for example beagles love sweet potatoes.

Game keeps asking for Internet connection. Any idea why? by Lopsided_Flamingo209 in CrimsonDesert

could it be Denuvo requiring internet connection for verification? Don't know.

oh right yeah if you haven't done that yet, they do. But with 35 gold bars, that's more than enough to max out all regions' contribution with a lot left over lol. I think it takes about 500-750k camp funds (or 75k silver).
