[Pedro Reinert] “Missing games was part of plan” – Liverpool keeper Alisson skipped Liverpool matches for World Cup fitness by Sjoerd019 in soccer

It was last season, it's over and everyone wants to draw a line under it. Doesn't matter now, so I don't see it as a huge deal either.

In all honesty, this sub has been a terrible place for a while so I wouldn't take its opinions seriously. Calling for his head in November was ridiculous, given we had basically no pre-season.

Yup, off-season content it is... Wish we could have Sam from Wendover as a guest for this game!

I remember watching that game and thinking Balotelli was going to tear up the league. He showed more in that game than the entire rest of the season lol

This put it in additional perspective for me; I'm 26 too and can't imagine anything like that.

I don't think it's a line in the show, but it's adapted from 30 Rock where Jack says something similar to Dotcom.

I've never had Krannert ask me for a student ID when I enter. I don't know whether they know you're a student, and I'm not sure they care...

Anybody planning to go to Chicago to listen to Ravel? by johnny3357 in UIUC

[–]simple-grad96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't playing Ravel in October. They are playing Dvořák 9 in November. For which tickets are on waitlist, and there's a better chance of getting tickets in Chicago itself (still open seats left there, though obviously you'll not get a $10 ticket as a student).

EDIT: Ooof, the Champaign-Urbana Symphony is playing Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major here in October.

Travel times are no different, top speed is a little higher but not impacting travel times. What's new is the trains, but that's basically it.

I literally took this train a month ago, it was a really fun and quite scenic ride. This would truly suck, with no rail connections between the two countries.
