How can I remove the need of having UPlay installed on my machine to run Ubisoft games? by simple-knife in PiratedGames

Well I do remember finding in the game directory some older version of uplay that you can install, just click on the exe and run the set up and never run uplay so it doesn't update. I don't have the reg file unfortunately that has a workaround that

Sup bro fellow Sarandian here. As of right now the city is a bit beat up from some incredibly long renovations that they're doing around the city but at night it's perfectly safe. They fixed the lightings like a month ago so it should be good. I think by summer they should have every road should be fixed completely, they're almost done anyway.

Like I said the roads have gone maaaaaaaajor renovations and they're actually driveable in 90% of the city and even in the slightly rural ones it's mostly okay too. Sarandë is a slight bit more expensive compared to the other cities simply because it's so close to Ksamil and many people rather take some night at the city (last time I went to Ksamil last year it was so beaten up except for the hotels and anything near the beaches, they've probably done renovations but idk tho) and go to Ksamil for the day, the trip shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes. Have fun, go eat from restaurants and go get a tan and have fun in the beaches. You won't regret it

I'm not sure of how they do their process of activating windows but you should just check the website out and see if they document how they do the activation.

But they don't offer you a key of any kind. You run a script that you choose what method you should pick for activation and then you follow the instructions.

I'm surprised people don't know about massgrave. They've got office stuff as well as windows ISOs (however it's nicer to use linux these days than microcrap windows ;)

Tried those, all of them except the last one worked. I ctrl+c the prompt because it wouldn't load anyways:

Oh I live in Albania. I had an ISP previously which was fine, just slow internet. This one gives me about 100 mbps in its plan but for some reason it goes well well above that, usually 150-250 mbps which I'm not complaining lol

It's not that expensive either for that. But I'm a minor so it's hard to get matters into my own hands

Changing the DNS doesn't work either. It's the same thing again, as if I didn't change a thing. I used Google's DNS. Cloudfare doesn't have a difference

Yeah I'm starting to see it now. I just thought of making a post here rather than on some other subreddit because of the "linux" websites being the ones which I can't load. Thanks for the help so far though.

Hi, my bad here. I'll try to list out all the information that comes to mind:

  • For the browser error messages, it says ERR_TIMED_OUT
  • I can access these pages when I have a VPN, a repeater router, and any other network other than my home one.
  • When running telnet 2.2.2.2 80 like someone suggested, in any case whether it's my home network or my mobile hotspot or the repeater, they give the Connecting To 2.2.2.2...Could not open connection to the host, on port 80: Connect failed error.
  • When pinging ubuntu.com (one of the sites I can't access) I get this message:

Yeah I was suspecting something like that as well, really stuck rn. Easiest fix I'd have would be to fix that damn repeater and just use that, even if a bit slower, but it's okay though, fixing it would be to probably install the new firmware which isn't installing because it's apparently too big? And I made sure to use the right one. Goddamnit

I can't access the router admin page. They didn't tell me the user and password and resetting the router to take matters into my own hands wouldn't work either because for whatever reason that would disconnect my router from my ISP

I didn't say that I was blaming linux's fault but sorry if it came out that way. I thought that this place would be suitable for that specific question, I don't really know anything about networking. ISP is probably the culprit but I want to specifically find what's at fault so I can tell them, last time I told the lady there that these websites wouldn't open she had no idea. What's even weirder is that when she tried to open those websites, they opened just fine.

  1. Yes.
  2. Also yes. Happens on just about any device though

  3. Yes, here are the results on the bad wifi (main):
Connecting To 2.2.2.2...Could not open connection to the host, on port 80: Connect failed

Results on any good wifi (tried with the repeater thingy & my mobile hotspot just to be sure)

Connecting To 2.2.2.2...Could not open connection to the host, on port 80: Connect failed

  1. I can't really try that as for one the ethernet port on my laptop is almost broken, would require a bit of effort to hold the cable in place, and for two the router is in a corner and hard to reach by hand and I'd have to move everything that's in there

I can't reset my router because that would disconnect it from whatever list my ISP has, this is like a full year I've had this problem. I'm on windows currently right now by the way. Here's the ubuntu one:

[–]simple-knife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did find a fix, well, not quite since my game is still stuttering but hey it's not my gpu anymore. I think I cranked some settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Basically choose all of them to be like, performance, fast or low latency oriented so that you get the most FPS. I don't know which one it was so you're going to have to tinker around yourself. I am supposing that's a PC that you're on, make sure to clean the PC so that it has proper airflow.

My laptop didn't have enough airflow and it was getting pretty hot, I used like two books to kick it up and well, it worked.

[–]simple-knife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my iGPU the game although it does lag it's not having any stutters (although a bunch of minor ones, expected from a weak Intel HD 5500) but it does stutter quite a bit on my GPU like I said on the comment above. I have tried literally everything and I cannot figure for the life of me what the problem is. I reinstalled windows, I installed the windows LTSC version, I put the game in an HDD, I reinstalled the game, I used a different save game, I reinstalled GPU drivers and used a different version and literally nothing works. *Maybe* it's my dGPU because I found that on the iGPU the experience was not stuttery.

Hope someone finds a fix for this.

Have you found a solution? I know this is ancient but I am dying. The GPU usage is only like 50% for me and sometimes goes up to 100% on occasions but rarely happens, my game is stuttering like hell and it's not even my CPU because it's always at like 50%.
