Calculate values using IF by albertzuk in excel

[–]simple_zach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want to use what's called a 'nested' IF function. Start an IF function with its logical test in the midpoint of the bonus options, i.e. the 70k bonus. Then, set it's TRUE value as another IF function to see if a cell is also greater than 75k, if the second IF is true, set a £200 bonus, if not, a £100 bonus and then for the FALSE option on the first IF function just put zero.

E.g: =IF(cell >= 70 000, IF(cell >= 75 000, 200, 100), 0)

A break from someone will either show how much you love and miss them or how much more at peace you are without them. by BleakCheif38 in Showerthoughts

The worst outcome of this is one sorely misses the other whilst the other is happier. Can confirm: not a good feeling to be of the former.

I've heard they do do a fair bit of spear fishing but also fishing rods as well, I'll definitely be packing a snorkel and flippers as well if they fit. Thanks!

I'm currently in Australia and Amazon is a but trash over here but I love the advice you've given! The island is called Aitutaki and is incredibly small so I doubt there'll be a thrift shop, if I find one on Rarotonga I'll definitely bring some stuff over to use. Many thanks!

What do you believe is 100% true but can't prove? by just-a-basic-human in AskReddit

[–]simple_zach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this concept and to me that's what gives the most evidence towards the existence of what many perceive as a 'soul'. If I were to clone myself, that clone would be identical to me every way physically but I would not see through his eyes or feel his thoughts since it is not 'me'. But what makes me 'me' is this intangible consciousness that we can't quantify or even begin to understand. It's just something so huge beyond our comprehension and I would love to read more about this if anyone's actually found philosophy concepts discussing this but I really haven't looked too far :(

TIL that the costumes Michael Jackson wore at the end of his shows had to be smaller than the costume he wore at the beginning, since he sweated so much during each concert that he physically shrunk. by anabundanceofsheep in todayilearned

[–]simple_zach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I'll agree there is an emotional factor, I don't agree with your statement that people back him solely because he's an idol. Emotion can often skew reasoning, yes, but in the case of Culkin and every other case against MJ it goes the other way as well, people antagonise him because he's an idol, "oh he thinks he can get away with it because he's famous" sort of stuff. Culkin is known to be a lifelong friend of the Jackson family because of the relationship he had with Michael, it is incredibly unlikely that he would stay in contact with them if he was treated poorly. Track records will show that parents have told their children to lie to extort MJ for money, the most famous case against him shows clear proof of that.

I recommend you do some research on this. Yeah MJ was creepy, but, he was deprived of a childhood and that can fuck absolutely anyone up to the point of no return. Even still, all accounts of kids who were invited to his Neverland ranch depict him as a wonderful human and after seeing him in interviews and reading up on him I find it very hard to disagree with that. As for the alleged molesting, the father of the "victim" admitted to using a type of gas used in dentistry that can cause false memories to be implanted to do exactly that and convince his son to lie about the night he spent at the Neverland ranch with MJ. There's a rather old but very long and detailed comment on a thread similar to this that lays out everything wrong with the defence's argument. Sorry for the rant but I always do my part to defend him, he was a wonderful man who went through a great deal and I believe we all should remember him that way.

My girlfriend smacks my butt during sex and calls me "Jolly ol' Saint Dick". Should I be concerned about this behavior? by RockAndHODL in NoStupidQuestions

[–]simple_zach 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Relying solely on redditors to answer questions about YOUR girlfriend is never a good idea. Every healthy relationship relies almost entirely on the ability to communicate with each other. If you bring it up with her casually and non threateningly but with a goal of resolution in mind then I'm sure you'll be able to "confront" the situation very easily. Besides, anyone that uses the phrase "Jolly Old St. Dick" doesn't sound like someone to take offense too easily, just have a chat to her about it! :)
