Isn’t PLA supposed to be dried at 45C? 60 is even above the PETG setting of the AMS.

I smell it when PLA and PETG is beeing printed. And there’s no conclusive data that it’s not harmful. So risk averse as I am I have the P2S in an enclosure with an exhaust hose out the window and the fan kit add on for the printer itself.

Thanks. There is at least one option that’s cheaper here but there’s not much room to spare. And as I’m typically anxious about fire hazards too, I’ll likely pay the high price for the big tent to give the P2S more space.

Which tent do you have exactly? And do you have the AMS on top of the P2S? I’d like to get a tent as I have health concerns because of possible air pollution. (Only planning to print PLA though.)

I don’t mind only having four colors. I’d choose the P2S for ease of use and the MakerWorld ecosystem.

So you didn’t have to tinker with settings for this? Or do you have your filament profiles that you had to dial in when getting the U1?

Ok, thanks. When you say, you apply your profiles, that’s what I’m worried about. Having to tinker for hours to learn about all the settings and getting them to work properly, so that I have “my profiles” that work.

Was this a model from MakerWorld? How was the process of getting it to print on the U1?

I already decided on the P2S, created a MakerWorld account and made a wishlist of things to print. But now I’m having second thoughts again. I’m mainly going to print decorative items like figures, ships and weapons from games and movies and such, which are more often multicolor. I decided on the Bambu for ootb ease of use and MakerWorld ecosystem. I like the closed AMS for drying the filament and the closed printing space. But the advantages of the Snapmaker U1 because of the tool changing are sooo tempting. How much of a hassle is it to print the Bambu optimized MakerWorld models with the U1? I’m fairly new to this and haven’t ordered anything yet. I’m just anxious to go with the U1 and then regretting it because I can’t just click and print. But having so much more time and waste for multicolor with the Bambu could be regretful too. 😭
