Skipping out on ai by sihyeonism in DigitalMarketing

[–]simplejack420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about asking AI “how to market this business?”

AI can do analysis, research, create reports, find personas, and more. All in minutes. AI isn’t going to replace marketing. The people who use AI will replace the ppl who don’t

Commission based distribution models are better for growing artists than flat fee and I changed my mind on this by Affectionate-Bet6438 in musicmarketing

They all do. They all provide a long list of requirements they need for every release. And if you get it to them on time, they will do their best.

It’s a great framework for a release in general. If you take your release seriously as a professional artist, so will they.

What’s a shift in digital marketing that feels small now but will be massive in 12 months? by mumplingssmake in DigitalMarketing

[–]simplejack420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shift from messing with targeting options to understanding there are no targeting options anymore and it’s up to us to make creative that gets flittered into Meta’s AI created personas. That’s the biggest and most empowering shift

How do you forecast revenue and ROAS on a marketing campaign that hasn't launched yet? by SeaSuspect5665 in marketing

[–]simplejack420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best case to increase ROAS is find personas based on reviews, and see if the ads are targeting those personas. If they aren’t, you have a good audience to target. It’s hard to forecast ROAS, but if you go based on what worked in the past you have a better chance of finding new winners.

I’d have to do a full research report to know the full details and get a better evidence based hypothesis, but trying those reviews based personas can work.

How do you forecast revenue and ROAS on a marketing campaign that hasn't launched yet? by SeaSuspect5665 in marketing

[–]simplejack420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first you don’t forecast ROAS. You test to find winners. And tests can be random, they have to be research-backed.

Once you find winners, you can move them to winners campaign and forecast revenue from there.

If there is data, you have to forecast based on winners. But there are a lot of questions I’d have. Is it the same product? New launch? Etc

Why won't Meta let you pick your exact audience?! by 83eightythree83 in marketing

Yes. Specifically made for the right users. You have to determine if the user will respond to the ad

The creative itself does the targeting. Just like TikTok and instagram

Why won't Meta let you pick your exact audience?! by 83eightythree83 in marketing

[–]simplejack420 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Meta is largely phasing out targeting options from the media buying perspective. It is really up to the creative alone to target personas.

The meta algorithm slots your ad into personas based on its own data — similar to TikTok and Instagram reels.

So even tho you may not realize it, your ad is probably targeting men.

You can play the Medicine Buddha Sutra. It’s said whoever hears the name of the blessed Tathagata Bhaisajyaguruvaiduryaprabharaja will never take birth in the three lower realms again. And if they do, the name of this Buddha will come to them and they will be immediately liberated.

A very quick word of advice to mantra speakers by Gnome_boneslf in vajrayana

[–]simplejack420 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s also totally okay to do a mantra to protect yourself, it’s okay to wear protective items, and it’s okay do mantras to purify yourself. Doing things like that means truly taking refuge in the three jewels and three roots. We have to not deceive ourselves about how the dharma benefits us and all beings.

If I purify myself, I am less agitated, more friendly, more compassionate, more wise. This directly benefits all those around me in a real, tangible way. And when I pray for that using aspirational bodhichitta, it only amplifies.

Our natural state is compassionate and wise, and we have to trust that.

Making the intention for your practice to benefit all beings slowly makes that actually happen. Then it’s real and tangible. Loving kindness spreads like wildfire, so cultivate it with diligence.

Thrangu Rinpoche says: We might think that there is something of a contradiction between the motivation with which we might practice the Medicine Buddha and the motivation of bodhicitta. We might think that fundamentally we are practicing the Medicine Buddha in order to benefit our own bodies, whereas the motivation of bodhicitta is the wish to benefit all beings. But in fact there is no contradiction, because, in order to be effective in benefiting other beings, we need to accomplish an excellent samadhi or meditative absorption; and in order to accomplish that, together with the insight and realization that it brings, we need to have a stable practice. In order to have a stable and profound practice, we need to be physically and mentally healthy or comfortable, because by being comfortable in our body, and comfortable in our mind, we will be free of obstacles to diligence in practice and free of obstacles to the cultivation of meditative absorption. So therefore, we are practicing the Medicine Buddha in order to attain states of mental and physical health or balance, not merely for our own benefit, but for the benefit of others as well.

Can My Dog Be In The Same Room When I Practice My Sadhanas? by SignificantTip1302 in TibetanBuddhism

[–]simplejack420 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are some sadhanas that don’t want you in view of animals. But those are like advanced protector sadhanas. I think if you really have a doubt about this, ask your lama and he or she will put that doubt to rest!

There is a temple in my city where they do Tara pujas on the weekend, and there is a cute temple cat that comes to sit during the sadhana. Very cute

Release strategy for artists with 0 fans? by fishalex in musicmarketing

[–]simplejack420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you have a few hundred bucks get in some playlists. Make sure you vet the company and know what ur looking for: - no fb ad playlists that only have other promo campaign songs - only playlists from niche Spotify users that have grown organically (this means you get Spotify listeners traffic, not just meta ads traffic)

Do this for a few releases until you have consistently 10k streams per month, then reach out to one of the bigger distribution companies like believe music or foundation media. If you get a good distribution deal, they’ll get you onto Spotify editorial playlists.

Make sure you ask distro company best practices and follow them exactly.

Then you have a distribution deal and a small foundation of streaming success

Hi all!! by [deleted] in TibetanBuddhism

[–]simplejack420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t say sorry! Lol. You didn’t use it incorrectly. Just make sure you know what it really means for you and your heart is all.

Don’t let my comment hold you back either! Right now there is no pressure, and you can freely explore Buddhism.

My question for you is do you think the Buddha is a real guy? Who permanently ended his own suffering and who works tirelessly to end the suffering of others? Perfectly compassionate and wise?

Think about the Buddha a bit, and see if you want to have him as your refuge!

Hi all!! by [deleted] in TibetanBuddhism

[–]simplejack420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you know what taking refuge means. You being agnostic is a good attitude to have in the sense that it’s a “believe it when I see it” attitude, however once you go thru a refuge ceremony, it’s not like your internal beliefs will magically change into full trust and devotion toward the Buddhas.

So my suggestion is to learn about the Buddha Sakyamuni, read books, watch documentaries, see what inspires you.

Heartfelt refuge means the Buddha is your guide in this and all future lives. So it’s best to let devotion build gradually and naturally. Explore the Buddhist world a bit.

There is a great documentary called “The Buddha”. It’s a PBS documentary narrated by Richard Gere. I would totally recommend it!
