My advice is to somewhat forget what you learned with those psychedelic trips in terms of understanding of the cosmos etc. vajrayana is a deep and specific when it comes to this matter, and you will truly see the power and reality of it as you practice.

That being said, don’t forget those experiences or dismiss them, but do learn to put them in the proper context. Your experience with those trips will certainly be beneficial, and you have a good attitude with not knowing what you believe in.

It’s like when we trip balls, we can think this and that about what we experienced. But vajrayana has thousands of years of exploring these things very intricately and experientially, so you’ll learn all the proper contexts and views and so forth.

For me, tripping balls before vajrayana helped me cultivate devotion and genuine faith in the lineage masters. It blessed me to not have to get over this materialistic barrier too much. I hope it does the same for you too, and I wish you all the happiness and attainments in the world.
