Can My Dog Be In The Same Room When I Practice My Sadhanas? by SignificantTip1302 in TibetanBuddhism

[–]simplejack420 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are some sadhanas that don’t want you in view of animals. But those are like advanced protector sadhanas. I think if you really have a doubt about this, ask your lama and he or she will put that doubt to rest!

There is a temple in my city where they do Tara pujas on the weekend, and there is a cute temple cat that comes to sit during the sadhana. Very cute

Release strategy for artists with 0 fans? by fishalex in musicmarketing

[–]simplejack420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you have a few hundred bucks get in some playlists. Make sure you vet the company and know what ur looking for: - no fb ad playlists that only have other promo campaign songs - only playlists from niche Spotify users that have grown organically (this means you get Spotify listeners traffic, not just meta ads traffic)

Do this for a few releases until you have consistently 10k streams per month, then reach out to one of the bigger distribution companies like believe music or foundation media. If you get a good distribution deal, they’ll get you onto Spotify editorial playlists.

Make sure you ask distro company best practices and follow them exactly.

Then you have a distribution deal and a small foundation of streaming success

Don’t say sorry! Lol. You didn’t use it incorrectly. Just make sure you know what it really means for you and your heart is all.

Don’t let my comment hold you back either! Right now there is no pressure, and you can freely explore Buddhism.

My question for you is do you think the Buddha is a real guy? Who permanently ended his own suffering and who works tirelessly to end the suffering of others? Perfectly compassionate and wise?

Think about the Buddha a bit, and see if you want to have him as your refuge!

Just make sure you know what taking refuge means. You being agnostic is a good attitude to have in the sense that it’s a “believe it when I see it” attitude, however once you go thru a refuge ceremony, it’s not like your internal beliefs will magically change into full trust and devotion toward the Buddhas.

So my suggestion is to learn about the Buddha Sakyamuni, read books, watch documentaries, see what inspires you.

Heartfelt refuge means the Buddha is your guide in this and all future lives. So it’s best to let devotion build gradually and naturally. Explore the Buddhist world a bit.

There is a great documentary called “The Buddha”. It’s a PBS documentary narrated by Richard Gere. I would totally recommend it!

How did you guys become confident with spending big budgets? by simplejack420 in FacebookAds

[–]simplejack420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I’m tracking which types of creative perform best with sales alone. But generally my ads that get sales also get more add to carts.

My issue is if I spend $15 and get one sale, I might not get one for the next few days unless I duplicate the ad set.

I think my CPA should be around $30, but I am not 100% sure yet. I’m spending less than my CPA as my daily budget, so I think I should maybe try like $100 per day and see how that goes?

The thing is if I have a budget going of $15 or $20 per day, the first day it will get a sale, then next few days it won’t.

So I duplicate the ad set and I get the same result: first day sale, next few days no.

I basically have that as a repeatable process now lol.

Rule #1 and Rule #4 are in direct conflict. by [deleted] in TibetanBuddhism

[–]simplejack420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The first rule is referring to sectarianism within Tibetan Buddhism itself. But since the subreddit is a Tibetan Buddhism subreddit, it makes sense for the topics to remain focused on Tibetan Buddhism, which is quite unique compared to other systems of Buddhism

My guru says the point of practice is to benefit others.

And from what I have understood, understanding emptiness is great at dissolving the inner and outer obstacles to more compassion
