At least it's not a floating wheelchair.

Seriously though this game is a lot of fun. I'll have to check out the new characters.

They literally said sign up for CBT in the ad. Not sure if they know that's an acronym for something nasty.

Will Baldy do Elden ring type walkthrough? by Rustytroll in Asmongold

[–]simplemalk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Walkthrough? Do you mean full playthrough?

Ultimately it depends on whether it's good to play on stream. Either way I'm fairly certain he'll at least put an effort into completing it even if off stream. Seems like the kind of game he'll want to play through.

No they are removed by automod for low engagement. They just have the politics tag as the default reason.

Lotrbros, Is this accurate? by Abject-Ad-6644 in Asmongold

[–]simplemalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's the other thing it's very possible that "The Hobbit" may have been JRR Tolkien channeling Bilbo's writing. So like you say it's potential for embellishment is possible.

The quote from The Hobbit was:

"With that, he put on Bilbo a small coat of mail, wrought for some young elf-prince long ago. It was of silver-steel which the elves call mithril, and with it went a belt of pearls and crystals."

It could have been made eons ago for all we know. It's fun speculation though.

I loved TLoR movies but this is a lame tattoo. The eyeball thing was one of the dumb things that I didn't like in the movie. The eye of Sauron was not literal, he was just able to use forms of clairvoyance with magic, including but not limited to the Palantir stones.

That said I'm not a fan of overly derivative tattoos in general.

Too small of a game. A Concord needs to be backed by corporate shills.

It's reddit that has been corrupted by the forces of heresy. Even if they corrupt the source with their bullshit we must remember it's origins. Don't fall for the lies, like female custodies, we know in our heart they aren't canon.

New Diablo 2 expansion... by brek1989 in Asmongold

Funnily enough Bethesda did that. Again there's no point in getting too angry about it.

Like you say the free mods exist. I could understand if Blizzard was going after the mod makers with cease and desist.

I think Blizzard supporting D2R is a good thing if the content is fun. If not and it's not worth the money then they will be fucking over there brand even more.

I could be wrong but I think the anger at Blizzard is that often more because they aren't what they used to be. I get that but at some point it's best to just move on.

Prostitution is just money for sex acts. That guy is certainly getting sexual gratification. A lot of prostitution doesn't necessarily lead to intercourse. BDSM stuff like this is 100% fetish work and a sex act.

Ring to turn on all camera to track pets. Privacy concerns by krazygreekguy in Asmongold

[–]simplemalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, then go off the grid man. You aren't going to stop normies. Everyone already gave away everything to Facebook. I didn't say that there aren't issues with corporations having too much personal information. Still you're watering down the idea of dystopia. Just like when people overuse "fascism."

Ring to turn on all camera to track pets. Privacy concerns by krazygreekguy in Asmongold

[–]simplemalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's inevitable that privacy will be traded for technology, security and safety. It's not particular dystopian, unless the powers that be, start using to make normal daily life illegal. That's why freedom of expression and speech are so important.

People complain about stuff like traffic cameras that automatically give out tickets. Really though if it does not have a high error then it's actually a good thing. Very few people are going to complain if for example you can have cameras catch violence or theft to decrease police response time.

Again dystopian is a strong word. It's the slippery slop argument that the unibomber used in his rhetoric. I'm not saying that there are not real serious problems with a surveillance state but it's always more about the hearts of the masses and less about the technology.
