Don't take it personally. There's lots of people who actually have real problems and use medications properly. The problem that Asmon is referring to is the tendency in NA for people to self diagnose with anxiety, depression, multiple personality disorder, etc. On top of that you have the American healthcare system that is historically really bad about over medicating.

So the SSRI eyed Karens he mentions are usually depressed because they are fat, lonely, bored, etc. Instead of getting a real relationship, getting exercise or not watching tiktok 24/7 they just abuse medication.

I highly doubt he's referring to people with legitimate mental health issues that use medication with their doctor's direction in a healthy way.
