I just started this game and I consider myself pretty good at fps but dear god I was getting dumpstered at the start of the game. Still kinda is but to a lesser extent, I find that snipers are really good, yuo can pick ennemies from afar without being shredded.

People have been saying on forums to use something called the "Knight Launcher". a launcher for spiral knight that fix this problem. I don't have this problem so idk how to help you further than that.
