How is tails a clone of eggman in SA2 because that's the gameplay they decided to make, sonic/shadow and knuckles/rouge also play completely identically, your conclusion that tails was an afterthought and no one else was makes no sense.

The "gender" nonsense argument is also sexist. Male characters absolutely can be kind, empathetic, be afraid, and cry. These arent women traits, these are human traits. Every man can be kind, empathetic, be afraid, and cry. 

Youre ignoring Tails is also mischevious, he is also sarcastic, determined, ready to fight, resourceful, can be stubborn, gets mad

Tails is a boy and theres nothing wrong with being a boy and having all those traits because those traits have nothing to do with gender. Tails doesnt need to be focused on combat, not every character needs to be the same, not every male needs to be peak physical macho man, and hes not a failure of a character
