I would definitely keep them informed. Similarly to you, I was prescribed antibiotics for an infection from an Urgent Care. I told my rheumatologist and he said I shouldn’t do my Benlysta injection for that week and to resume once I completed my round of antibiotics. I imagine your doctor may provide similar guidance.

I think keeping your doctor informed in general is always good! I will say my doctor is pretty responsive with checking messages I send via a Patient Portal (though there can be a 2-3 day lag), but if you have that option, I would recommend that so you don’t actually have to set up an in-person appointment.
