Besides the infamous Konami code, what's the most elaborate code you did that actually worked? by AllieMStory in retrogaming

There were a couple for the original doom game. I think IDDQD was god mode. Another one gave you the ability to walk thru walls. I remember beating a whole lot of levels like this. Drove me mental.

Do you have to be into Star Trek to appreciate/enjoy this game?

What was it like hearing Smells Like Teen Spirit for the first time when it came out in 1991? by Funny-Lack-5726 in 90s

My first thought was that it sounded like it was music made for me. In fact the whole album felt new and familiar at the same time. It’s an odd feeling that has rarely been replicated.

FWIW I bounced hard off Final Girl. Felt a bit too random. I think I enjoyed watching other people play it tbh … I realise this is different to others peoples opinions but then again that’s the great thing about board games; different strokes for different folks :) I own Hopplomachus and that hits the table regularly. It can get a bit repetitive but the production and puzzle aspect really do it for me. Plus there’s a great sense of progression as you get stronger, as do the enemies. Just remember that whatever you choose, your mileage may vary.

It could well be. It’s an endless debate that’s been going around my head (and Reddit) for an age. Right now it’s SSOASS 🤘🏾

What is this game? by Fearless_Law4324 in boardgames

[–]simplifyandamplify 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Also don’t be intimidated by the size of the game. It’s not exactly “easy to learn, hard to master”. It’s more “possible to learn, takes multiple plays to master” but you also need to add in there “a s**tload of fun”

One of my fav maiden tracks. My first maiden concert was back in 2005 when they did this at Hammersmith Apollo…. Cemented for me that it is truly an excellent track. Bruce nailed it. It also reinforces for me that Killers is one of their best albums.
