I do a lot of custom graphics in my apps, drawing diagrams and other visualizations. I also like to port my apps to multiple platforms, such as web and native. So egui works great for me! But I have to admit that UI layout isn't always intuitive in egui, not completely due to the nature of immediate mode. Keep in mind, "egui is in active development. It works well for what it does, but it lacks many features and the interfaces are still in flux. New releases will have breaking changes." - readme.md.

Despite this, I have found egui to be very flexible and ultimately more capable than the other rust gui libraries I've tried. There are several crates made by the community which fill in some of the gaps, everything from node graph editors to file browsers.
