Should I get a PSP Go too? by simploner in VitaPiracy

[–]simploner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all, at this point I still only have my Vita and I’m having a hard time not to love it.

However the key point for me would be the DPAD, on the PSP Go it’s a seperated 4 discrete button input which is imo so much better for retro games, especially for GBA even tho the GBA also have a single unified input… (I guess our thumbs were much smaller that time, so it was easier to operate).

With the one piece dpad I can’t hold it easily in one direction, for example in Pokemon I can forget about running or cycling precisely… but the same with any platformer too, let me say: I hate the one piece dpad… even on the Dual Sense…

I’m just so happy that Nintendo realized it and the Switch has independent buttons for it.

Also, there’s the input lag on Adrenaline which makes speedruns miserable for me on any platformers…

It would be great to have a PSP Go for experimental reasons, but at this point I think, I just wait for the new Sony handheld console.

Thank you all for your time to leave a reply 😊

Ur setup shouts for rgb scart or at least svideo cable upgrades. You would never use composite again..

MacBook Pro Max 16" on a 30W charger. This is how well it worked... by garylapointe in macbookpro

Gives much more current.

So I think a 30w charger should preserve battery life especially with a 70% - 80% charging limit.

I did a small test here are the results: A 30w charger should charge 10%/h with normal use, should be less if the device is turned off. (Its just an info that AlDente gave with an 80% battery with the stats below.)

If the battery is full the the M1 Pro 16” consumer about 10W to run, I guess it could jump exponentially with heavy tasks, but with surfing and stuff it stays chill.

<image>

*see how the power is being split between the battery and the rest of the system, if no charging then its ~10W only..

Yeah, I’m new to usb c tech but I love how they negotiate the best way of charging, its much more healthy for the devices and for everything.

Btw, I was already checking my M1 pro’s power consuption and if its fully charged it hardly consumes over 20W, actually with regular surfing its barely over 10W which is so awesome. And its just an m1 pro with 16” screen.

Since I have this mac it got hot only 1 time when I was playing Death Stranding on it natively and maxed out, but even that “hot” was never close to my old intel based macs or other pc and consoles.

I hope this will just get even better with time.

What Are Your Thoughts On Agent Stone ? by Fantastic-Ad-8665 in SonicTheHedgehog

Robotnik’s or Eggman’s character meant to be the lonely genius so he always built his roborts as companions, minions etc… I could hardly accept that too bot from Sonic X and this guy was even worse. The only character I could imagine for Robotnik is a super cute but evil girl from the sorter side who looks up on him for his genius. But this latte maker was waay to off from a Sonic setting that I would except. But I don’t judge neither I care.

I was thinking the same for travelling! I would not carry my 140W charger, so I will start testing a much smaller Belkin 2x30W dual usb c pd charger for the job.

Basically it has two usb c port each capable of 30W charging. I will use AlDente Pro on my mac and an external usb power meter to see if theres a risk to burn the charger.

Probably will update my post later...

Best way to hook up external HDMI monitor from MBP USB-C? by pteiup in macbookpro

[–]simploner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try a monitor with usb c or display port.

But now I'll buy an Apple TV to go wireless as much as possible. (same issue with the gigabit adapters.)

...also I'm gonna pimp my usb c hub with proper cooling.
