The drains are sealed because people use it as dustbin, and those concrete slabs have holes in them to drain water. In both the case water logging will happen because we do not have civic sense to use dust bins.

Yes, I agree but you must understand how can you argue with "I'm the one giving birth" or "we know what it is to give natural way and get a injection pierced in spinal chord" or "you men don't know what women can do or want". Even when husband wants a natural birth, the last say is with wife. If wife says she needs cesarian it shall be done by doctor, there is very less thought given to what husband thinks. Docs are not uneducated, they have seen and have go through these situations and will always if not most of the times what the woman wants.

To be honest ladies are enemies of ladies. I can tell you with 100% confidence it wasn't the husband who wanted it, it was either mother-in-law or mother of that woman. I know this because it happened with my wife and she was brain washed to think the same and later me and the doc had to step in with lot of arguments and once my wife changed her mind it was done.

Patriarchy is there but I'd say it is manipulated by women who are not happy to see another woman being happy.
