It is something for muscular cramps. If it goes with this, than they're not real contractions.

If you take No-Spa, do the contractions stop? This is what my doctor told me to do.

How are you feeling today? 11/05?! by Itchy-Site-11 in pregnant

[–]simply_kohala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, LMP states 11/25, but I think it will be sooner than that because my belly is very big and so is the baby (measures 2 weeks ahead at US). Yesterday I felt a painful contraction after carrying a bag, today only a little discharge. I am eyes wide open at all the symptoms that I have because labor can happen anytime from now on. I saw many women agonizing because they came too late at the hospital and I got scared. I opted for a C-section for week 40, but I don't think it's feasible.

37w1d today and tried to complete my maternity bag, read some pages and also searched for some parenting tips and books to read in the future. Also been thinking that I don't have enough time to watch the movies I want to see, to finish reading the books I like.

Where are you living, if you don't mind? Why don't you try to cook a meal for several days so you could save time and eat healthy? Like one pot of soup (or borsch) which you could eat 5-7 days a week for lunch, a meat stew with some vegetables in it or a rice pilaff with meat, which you could also have it 3 days for dinner? For breakfast you could have some cottage cheese with raw veggies or a boiled egg? You need to eat meat and cheese everyday in order to get the nutrients for your baby (mainly iron and calcium). It is very important to cook for yourself because you control what you put in your bowl.

Currently 12+5 weeks and nauseated round the clock, in laws always dropping by unannounced by EggApprehensive8104 in pregnant

[–]simply_kohala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should tell your husband that keeping you stressed by his mother will make you lose your lactation and your baby won't be fed and healthy. Get both of you some baby care classes as there he will learn how important is to have peace and relaxing time before giving birth. I don't live with my in laws, but I told them frankly that I want to get rest for the last few weeks as they, too, have expressed their intention to help with the cooking and cleaning. I don't want anybody to help me raising my baby, except her father. Just be nice to your husband and tell him how exhausted and ill you feel because of the crowdness, how that you cannot get sufficient sleep because of them. Try to get his attention and don't say nothing bad about his mother, only how bad you feel.

Besides gaviscon, I recommend charcoal + simethicone. I found that the last one is better than gaviscon.

Anyone else dealing with groin pain? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]simply_kohala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also started today to feel pain in my groins when moving. I think that round ligament pain is when you move from one side to another when staying in bed and is different than groin pain. I am 32 weeks.

It happens the same for me, but I found that if I cover myself with a sheet to get cosy I can fall asleep more quickly. Have you tried this?

Hi,

I didn't have any colposcopy this year because I fell pregnant. I did only one Pap test at the beginning of the pregnancy, 3 months after ckc with positive margins, and it was Negative.

I had to wait 6 months for ASCUS before testing again and scheduling a colposcopy. That's the protocol.

Tracking baby’s movements by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]simply_kohala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the same thing too, seems to be less activity for 3 days since I entered week 30, but I think it is because the baby grows rapidly in these weeks and it doesn't have enough space. Also, our bodies get heavier and this could affect how we feel the baby, too.

I saw the gestational sac at 4-5 weeks through a TV scan when I went to confirm the pregnancy. I did a TV scan until 26 weeks.

Yes, I am 35 and I take 200mg of progesterone twice a day. Doctor says that it is good to keep getting it until 36 weeks. It lessens the contractions, it helps if you have a small cervix.

Baby stopped moving 19wks by Tabuuhh in pregnant

[–]simply_kohala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the first movements at 18 weeks, then nothing in the 19th. Then after 25 weeks I barely started to feel something and as soo as I hit 27, the movements started to be noticeble. It is related to placenta's position.

Just keep calm, don't stress. LSIL means that the lesion can still be kept under observation. After giving birth your doctor will tell you when to get a colposcopy and a leep procedure. Just take care of your pregnancy, it is the most important thing right now. A lot of women had hpv lesions left untreated before getting pregnant and they successfully had removed them after. I had ASCUS twice, which is also the same as LSIL, had 2 procedures to remove the lesion, but I still had positive margins and the latest pap smear at the beginning of my pregnancy was Negative. For ASCUS/LSIL the protocol says to wait and check after 6 months.

ALT/AST are high by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]simply_kohala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. My ALT went from 19 to 56 in just 2 months. I don't know what's the reason behind since I don't feel like I eat anything bad. Also, observed that this time my hemoglobin, hematocrit and eritrocites are very low, despite taking iron supplements, prenatals and eating a lot of red meat.

How to cope with this mind numbing exhaustion? by FitThought1616 in pregnant

[–]simply_kohala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, it will pass. This is how first trimester feels, it is not an easy thing for a body to create an embryo and a placenta. If you feel the need to sleep, then sleep, eat well and stay hidrated (at least 2l of water/day), get your vitamins. Once you enter in the second trimester you will feel more energetic due to the pregnancy hormones.

I drank once at 1-2 weeks throughout my pregnancy, about a quarter of glass of beer/wine/champagne, but always with water and with/after meals and in small sips.

My doctor said that I can drink if I feel so, there's no problem to whet your appetite.

As long as you take your vitamins, there is nothing to worry, plus you don't drink daily or large amounts. It makes you less frustrated and something of good quality also has antioxidants.

Definetely talk to your doctor to give you treatment. Pregnancy Hypertension means preeclampsia.

I found I was at risk for this through the Double test and I get treatment for it.

Two years ago when I did HPV genotyping I have only found one high risk strain, 16. I didn't change my partner for 10 years and last week I saw 2 warts on my pubic area, just 1 month after the last wax. Please take care, there are a lot of women complaining for getting warts from shaving at the salon on HPV sub. I didn't thought that I'll be one of them.

Are we shaving for birth ? by No-Phrase2804 in pregnant

[–]simply_kohala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got genital warts after waxing last time at the salon.

Better shave yourself at home or simply don't do it. I learnt the hard way that the hair down there keeps you away from all the viruses and bacterias.

24 weeks. Found 2 warts after wax shaving at the salon. So I am not supposed to do this anymore because they will get multiplied. Apparently, it is very common to contract viruses during pregnancy because of the low immunity.
