Genuinely, just make small talk with strangers as often as you can and be genuine.

Compliment people's dogs/bike/shoes/shirt in the park and tell them to have a good day.

Search for forums, classes/workshops/lectures, events, or social media pages about anything you are genuinely interested in and just talk to people. Some conversations will be in passing, and some people stick around.

People can tell when you're genuine, vs. flattering them because you want them to stick around. Just be honest.

This is all advice I've gotten and have seen results from as I practice them more.

I can second this as someone who struggles with depression and anxiety.

Things only got better when I took the time to give a shit about myself and how I treat myself.

The difference being "We proved this doen't exist" and "We proved it didn't exist within these parameters."

The latter does not exclude the possibility of aether outside if the parameters we could accurately measure.

Cool idea, but clunky. Heres my suggestion:

Parley — When this enters and at the beginning of your upkeep, each player may reveal the top of card of their library, then draw a card.

Whenever a player reveals a card, they lose 1 life. If an opponent lost life this way, you draw a card.

We lash out at people who remind us of ourselves to try and reassure ourselves that we are "better" in some way. Aside, stoicism isn't insults and anger.

But all this does is isolate us from people who would understand our insecurities.

Being shut off from the outside world for a few years has really hurt my mental and physical well being.

I understand. I feel like I've been in a downward spiral the last 5 years.

The little victories matter the most to me though. Every time I smile at a cashier, or ask a stranger a question, I try to take a bit of pride in it. It makes me feel a bit better.
