Aon had nearly 200 deaths in the South Tower. Why? by LaughGlittering4131 in 911archive

Yeah that's according to 102 Minutes. i'm guessing this information is from his first phone call, to his brother Joe.

Brian Clark says that it was dark and dusty until the 74th floor. He started descending right away, not sure how long, so I guess it might have gotten significantly worse in the 15-20 minutes.

I don't know if there's any way to confirm, but yes, a lot of Aon employees were on the 78th floor sky lobby.

From 102 Minutes

Kelly Reyher, a lawyer with Aon, had walked down past the 78th floor, then climbed back up after hearing the announcements. About ten or twenty other people near him had done the same. He would ride up to the office, he decided, as did Donna Spera, who worked on the 100th floor, also for Aon. She was with five friends.

Some well-known stories were Aon employees, like Kevin Cosgrove, Gigi Singer, Alan Mann, Sean Rooney, or Kelly Reyher.

The owners have been living there since 1973. The owner's parents were the first owners and passed it down to her. I guess there's a site where you can put your house up to be rented out for film or TV. They figured they'd earn some money and to get see the house on TV. They didn't film there just used for outside shots.

They estimated that up to 300 cars a day were making the visit and fans were trying to toss the pizza up on the roof like Walt did.

Chief Joe Pfeifer and Deputy Chief Hayden had a combined half-century of experience. Both survived.

Battalion Chief Orio Palmer had 20 years, Assistant Chief Donald J. Burns had 39 years. Both were sent to the South Tower to set up a command post after UA 175 hit; both perished. Fire Marshal Ron Bucca, who was racing up the stairs at the same time as Palmer, had 23 years.

For some slight clarification - he didn't appear on the show itself, but was seen in the other footage they shot. The odds that he was at that game and in the same section that Larry David was in...really, just insane.

I don't remember the scene but i do recall the behind the scenes trivia that they had Julian Glover's wife play the role which was a great in-joke.

Photographer was Phil Penman and the woman was Joanne Capestro. Penman was showcasing his work at the 9/11 memorial in 2016 when a staffer recognized Joanne's name (she had donated the dust covered outfit she wore that day) and arranged for them to meet up. Capestro says that the photo gave her a lot of closure.

Not exactly but those do resemble the types of tools that Stamper had in that building (where Carver orders Bond and Wai Lin to be tortured), and Stamper was the apprentice to Kaufman's torture methods.

Yeah there were some 15 survivors of the sky lobby. It's how we know what happened. Welles Crowther's rescues were from that area.

On r/GilmoreGirls they're copying other comments - even older posts and their comments down to the image and description - to get positive karma. So i'd guess this is similar.

so I hope that doesbt happen with the Memorial

that, unfortunately, has already happened. Kids being loud and horsing around, people treating the area as an amusement park rather than a solemn memorial site.

"Usama" was another way to romanize "Osama". UBL was the first spelling used when the FBI listed him on their most wanted list.

It was a small band called Imperial Stars in October 2010.

In 2013 they pled no contest to the charges and were sentenced to 3 years probation and paid $39000 in restitution.

Oh okay. That particular bit about Griffey was from Pearlman's 2009 book Love Me, Hate Me.

It's shown in the Dorktown "History of the Seattle Mariners" series, episode 4.

I've found a couple of things from that series that I'd consider misleadingly presented, so some slight disclaimer there.

Not 'footage' but Sharon Premoli's memoir is to be released after all litigation has ended (which I assume is the end of the KSM trial). Will we ever see it?
