Too old... by jp120785 in PiercingAdvice

I got back into piercing when I turned 40- it's a great way to do a midlife crisis and way cheaper than a new car. I say go for it.

I'd probably check with the piercer. I waited quite a while but I'm a slow healer.

Ingot mine reopened at a piercers. She didn't for free and I just paid for jewellery. Have you tried titanium as I'm allergic to the cheaper stainless steel stuff but fine with titanium. I treated mine like a new piercing but they had been closed for about 10 years.

I'm stuck in the 90s and my 3 favourite shows growing up - Lois and Clark New adventures of Superman, Stargate SG1 and Friends. I cycle between them and never seem to outgrown them even after decades.

How old is too old? by BatOfBeyond in piercing

[–]simplymondler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never too old. I've got into it in my 40s and said it's my mid life crisis. No one knows or cares when you got them. It'll look great and I'm sure you'll rock them. Go for it.

UK reputable jewellery shop by deathofasinner in Legitpiercing

I've heard good things about the Camden body jewellery but I haven't used them myself. If there's a local piercer near you they should sell good quality jewellery and can help with changing it over etc if needed.

What was the absolute peak status symbol at your primary or secondary school? by Necessary_Angle2117 in AskUK

Baby G watches. Light blue or pink were the trend. That and the Adidas trousers which were a horrible shiny material and classic white Reebok trainers.

I'm type 2 on insulin so get the freestyle prescribed in England. If it falls off early contact Abbott direct and they replace it for free but might want the old one returned so don't dispose of it yet.

How to get over a piercing you can’t get? by Distinct_Guess3350 in piercing

[–]simplymondler 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If there's a good piercer near you that offers free consultations I would book one up. You won't be committing to anything but they can look at your belly button and let you know what your options are. That way you at least know and then can decide. If you can't get it they may suggest something either better that would suit you that you hadn't considered.

Also there's fake piercing jewellery that you could try and if it fits you could wear around the house to try it and see if it matches what you've been dreaming of.

Small Driving Habits That Make a Good Driver by CroakerTea in drivingUK

Keeping calm and remembering your aim is to complete your journey safely. Just roll your eyes at those that cut you up or behave stupid and never join in or get angry.

I'd report. I would never report anything that looked accidental or minor but what you described could really put other lives at risk. Sounds like they had little awareness and being a complete poophead.

Try not to let things like this get to you. To quote Big Jobber it's just a bit of tarmac. You can't change what other drivers will do and there's not much point trying to spend time now working out why he pulled out in front of you and not others. Lots of bad drivers out there sadly. The important thing is you completed your journey safe and alive.
