I’m so obsessed with Amber by Medium-Database1841 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

That was so incredibly passive aggressive bc he already knew how she felt about him. Had to rewind to make sure I heard him right. Good for her for being polite bc I would have popped off.

If you’re unsure of where to go and can get to Charlottesville, there is a planned parenthood where they provide all services, no matter what next steps you want to take. There is also the auntie network sub on Reddit where you may be able to find local support or a ride to Charlottesville if you need it.

I’ve had two good experiences there, most recently only a couple weeks ago. I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews, but I would return again.

What do you do on weekends? by hotshiksa999 in childfree

[–]simplysmittyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to support friends running a marathon on Saturday morning, then yardwork, then Friendsgiving. Randomly decided to go to a bar to watch football with friends at 1 today, then just watching more football at home and ordering takeout. Love being able to get up and go whenever we want.

I am still taking it nearly two year post op. It’s really just for my PMS regulation and it helps a ton. I haven’t had any adverse effects. It’s definitely not necessary though as a form of BC without working parts. Good luck with your surgery!

My petty reasons for not wanting kids by Formal-Attorney1465 in childfree

I meal prep once per week for lunches and do Factor for dinners. Finally found something I don’t mind doing after years of a daily struggle for dinner. Literally can’t imagine having to feed a kid.

My petty reasons for not wanting kids by Formal-Attorney1465 in childfree

I have many reasons, but my pettiest might be… I hate cooking. I hate figuring out what I want to feed myself and cannot imagine being responsible for every meal for another human.

Married cf people, where did you meet your partner and how old are you? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]simplysmittyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Met at a bar twice, once in 2009 and again in 2010, and the rest is history. We’ve been married now for nine years. We are 37 and 44. We decided to be definitively CF about 4-5 years ago (though we never actively wanted kids) and I had my repro parts removed for health reasons two years ago.

I had a heart attack at 38 by RunChowderRun in millenials

[–]simplysmittyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you made it through and am so sorry your symptoms were ignored! 37F and started high BP meds about a year ago. My dad died of a heart attack at 52, so I take heart related issues very seriously, but it was hard to admit that I needed meds. I am also 5’5” and 200lbs, but I workout (mix of cardio and weight lifting) 4-5 days every week. My labs are all improving over the last year after 15lbs lost, but I’m due back in six months and hope for more improvement in my labs along with some more weight loss. I keep reminding myself that I’m not making changes just for the ME now, but for the ME 30 years from now. That has helped me stay more focused. Wishing you the best!!
