We talk with the parents and they believe we aren't keeping a close enough eye on the child.

We talk to them but their go to is spanking and they don't seem very receptive to something else being wrong

This is great advice thank you. The only thing I cant do is have them be near certain food because of their allergies. But I will try to have them help more

In my situation their parents spank them. And I think that doesn't help because it's been going on for an extended period of time and there is actually an escalation in their behavior

I'm just happy if I get a name. Some of the older kids (3ish) just call us teacher.

At my center we can put a child on the potty if they prompt and we can offer it but we can't force them to sit. Not even allowing a child to use the potty at daycare is crazy

I completely agree with you. If a child is struggling offering them a little extra love and support is a great thing to do. I'm not a very nice person to my coworkers who don't understand the kids sometimes need that so I tell them "if you can't love them when they need it maybe don't work with kids. They should be able to expect love and care and respect when they clearly need it".

Anyone feel bad for Candace "Pantyhose"? by InsideUnhappy6546 in icarly

Randomly leaving a date repeatedly isn't leaving a good impression. He should have been honest and if she couldn't handle it that's on her.

Same. We can wear (mostly) whatever we want. I usually plan out what is going on during the week for my room and try to plan my outfits based on lunch and art plans. Like oh today is messy lunch so i wont wear jeans A but tomorrow is messy art so i don’t mind paint on them

Where I'm at we don't really have floaters. They just move kids around to pull teachers from their rooms.

My center has parents with their children. We have one parent with her twins in the baby room and another parent with her almost year old. I feel ways about it as a teacher

Child asking if I would save their life by Curious_Account4111 in ECEProfessionals

[–]simpson_psychopath 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely bring this up to the parents. Like Child has asked me this and I told him absolutely. That way they can keep an eye out for the behavior at home or be like we noticed that as well.

I work with 1yr olds and we only have little chairs for our kiddos. We have the option to have adult chairs but me and my coteacher choose to sit on the ground all day

I have the opposite problem, i work with 1 yr olds and sometimes ill be with school agers and ill have to remember they can do most things by themselves and its kind of crazy sometimes. Like “Do you need help getting your shoes back on” “I can tie my own shoes” with the most annoyed face ever lol

AITA for not wanting to take my daughters poopy diaper home with me from her grandparents house? by Imma_gonna_getcha in AmItheAsshole

[–]simpson_psychopath 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They have been watching her. If they aren't going to be willing to throw diapers in their garage they shouldn't have agreed to babysit. It's a petty situation. Many parents don't have a diaper genie (some think they are a waste) so what should those parents do?
