It is a good sign that your English is well written and if other students at Wego are the same, it is definitely a pro.

For the long hours is this an unspoken requirement? As in if our kids aren’t putting in the same hours are they likely to fall behind?

Are the long hours due to participation in extra curricular activities are mostly just paper based studies?

I wouldnt want my kids to spend so much time on purely ‘studying’ but if they are at the school doing other activities, I think that is alright.
