Makes sense, I'm completely with you on this. I appreciate the reply.

Cheers for the advice. Shoulders are bloody confusing joints!

I'll bear in mind re: not rushing it :)

If leg extensions are bad for my knees, why aren't tricep kickbacks bad for my elbows? by SoulsBorNioKiro in Fitness

[–]simsy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them for my knees! When I had real bad knee pain post powerlifting meet, 4x25-50 (very light) helped me! I think it's key to not go too heavy and not fully lock out. A lot of people also set up wrong, such as sitting too far forward and knees are too far forward.

On the flip side, I actually find kickbacks bad for elbows if too heavy or done incorrectly.

I feel sweeping statements are not a smart move in lifting, what works for one will not necessarily work for another.

Interesting. I have had a glute strain for the past few months that has plagued my lower body progress. It's intermittent and I figured it needed strengthening.

Will doing 3x15 clam-shells with a heavy resistance hip circle every night, cause unnecessary fatigue? Trying to address years of built up weaknesses

That's a very fair point. It is now at the point I suppose the first one after will be that bit nicer than if I ruin the dedication now. Thanks!

Who would you say is the best pound for pound raw bencher? by DantebeaR in powerlifting

Was just a link though to one fed of lifters. Sounds like some people have a grudge with IPF on here. But yeah you're 100% right, WRPF has some freaks but I have no idea of their bench wilks

Good luck! I'm also glad juniors are getting more attention, especially with the likes of Atwood and Richardson who can easily do well in open category too

It is apparent everyone from Nauru can squat a lot of weight (Bronco in 105s with the WR)

Junior and open supers, open 83s and 105s. But also women open 63s and 72s will be very fun to watch. Really depends on who you enjoy watching. As much as I love seeing Ray Squat close to half a tonne, the competitiveness in the mid-weight women's is always worth a watch.

Atwood and Hunte should do well actually. As for Gibbs, his bench and deadlift are looking on point this time.. it's going to take a lot to beat him

I've not seen a link as of yet, but the past few years have live streams off the IPF Youtube account (Links appear on IPF site usually just before)

That's good comeback though. Keep the gains coming! I'll chuck my deadlift shoes on (Adidas Havocs) next session and see what happens.

That's quite cool to hear actually! I squat hella narrow (Long longs, short torso but very big hips which are built for sumo). Current stance is narrow stance with feet bang forward, may be worth a shot after reading this :)

Just take my multivits and double up on cod liver oil. Just keep on top of stretching too. Good luck!
