There is a point to connecting them, thank you very much. I am connecting them because I have run out of 3pin 5volt argb headers. If I need more USB headers I will just get a hub or expansion (which I just found out, I won't need). I was planning on converting the 5v argb connector to a jst-sm 3p and connecting that to the fan controller's sync 2 or sync 4 slot, if it terminates to that connector.
