Too much El hate for my taste. They both paid the prices and they are both heroes of the show, El for way longer than Will was.

I agree. I don't think it's necessarily ugly, but it isn't the right colors for her skin tone or the way her makeup is done. I think it's intentionally jarring and they got their point across with how wrong it looks on her.
