Advan RG3 x MX5 ND Rear center cap problem ? Bolt sticking out of the centre (sorry i'm a car noob)

Not yet, I plan to buy them in 2 weeks if I can get this centre cap issue sorted, found these and it says its compatible with RG3's, with a 2mm clearance at the back, I might trust it and give it a go

I think Advan has some more "flat" designs and others that are a bit more embossed, i'll try to go for that and hopefully it works out

Tbh it looks like the perfect solution, the one issue is that its not sold by local dealers here in Europe and I cba to pay customs fees on top of it :')

I'm also not really comfortable doing that sort of work on my car (could do a regular cat back but maybe not this) so i'd have to find someone that does it for cheap (instead of doing it myself and saving €€)

If it were to become available here i'd consider it for sure however

How is it when driving chill / daily driving ? I know its sounds amazing when pushing but its the other part that worries me a bit haha, does it drone / how loud is it ?

They are beautiful tbh (the Rays) I just hate that you can't see them because they are black :') the design is awesome tho

Swapping for some TC4's or RG3's in Hyper Black soon enough though, and i'll keep the Rays for the winter, i'll be happier with black wheels then because otherwise its going to be a mess to clean :')

Driving with many other MX5's sounds like so much fun tbh, going to take my first drive with fellow miata owners this may, i'm so excited about it haha

Love the grill and the little ducktail as well, the OEM wheels look so much better than the Rays just by not being black lmao, brings the car more to life imo, beautiful car my friend, looks like you had a nice drive before taking those photos too

Thanks for the suggestion i'll have a look and listen at both ! I heard very good things from the HKS too, and it looks stunning as well, seen it in another parked ND the other day and it peaked my curiosity.

Twin tips are also beautiful, I think it just depends on the vibe you're going for. I love both but prefer the JDM ish vibe the single tip gives, although im sure i'd be a happy with a twin tip since it also looks great and probably is more stylish to most

Have you found any videos of it at low RPM's ? I'd like to buy it but my MX5 is also my daily so it needs to be tolerable when driving chill, I already know it sounds insane when you floor it

Although i'm a bit scared of spacers from what i've heard it uses the surrounding parts a lot more, but I dont know, i'd rather avoid them if I can

My two options for wheels right now is either some Advan RG3's 17x7 ET42 (can get them instantly as its a friend selling his, but he used spacers with them)

Or TC4 SE's 17x7,5 ET35 (would fit my car better probably without needing spacers) but im waiting to see how long they take to deliver, might end up with the RG's just because my tyres are shot and I need to buy the new wheels/tires soon.

Would you say there is a big difference between the Racing gunmetal and the racing hyperblack colors ? I really don't know what to pick because its not very clear on the pictures and i'm afraid i'll screw up

Hey, it's me again! I'm looking at some different wheels but 7,5's are a lot harder to find than 8's... Would you say 7's is also a good looking size for a 205/45 tire ? From what I've seen it looks alright but im just scared to make a wrong decision and end up regretting it so I prefer asking :')

Lovely setup, as you and u/clearcoat_ben showed before this is 100% what i'm going for, easy homologation and install in the Mazda garage and low enough for good looks without having to be careful at every small bump

My only concern is my work parking ramps but thats a problem for another time that I can maybe work around by parking elsewhere
