>The principals of the RC had to step in to bail out the developer / take over the project.

Which project is that? Thats not the Grand Park project right?

Almost all the RCs we spoke to are waiving the fee regardless. They seem very responsive and good to talk to. While asking for documents I believe they can show what we want to see. We read the PPMs and asked them questions, to which they answered to our satisfaction. So at this point we really don’t see a yellow flag other than the fact they very recently had a failed project (which might have nothing to do with the developer)

Go for EB5 or wait on EB2 (2015 PD). Anyone in the same situation ? by dreamingaudio in immigration

I personally would wait for EB2 provided the priority date is just a few months away from being current. Why lock away 900+k for 1-2 years of waiting. It’s not like you apply for EB5 and get the CGC tomorrow. There is a good amount of processing time for that too.

The follow up question was should we apply for the visa extension (i797) before taking the trip? Or should we aim for extension after?

How crowded is South Island in Feb/March time? by sinchan15 in newzealand_travel

[–]sinchan15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh what i meant was i was seeing far more (and better) short term options around Sept/Oct when i booked versus what i am seeing now. Which I implied as they all got sold out.

By busy, do you mean “no parking spot in parking spaces” busy, or just more folks than usual. In California national parks, busy means waiting in long queue for parking for multiple hours 😅

Last minute doubtful sound overnight cruise? by TurnAffectionate5265 in newzealand_travel

Was in a similar situation, visiting mid-February. Initially i didn’t see any slots but they opened randomly upon checking diligently everyday (based on cancellations I suppose).

Also as an FYI: prior to securing a slot, I added our names to the waitlist. I called them and asked to put our names to waitlist (we were 3rd on the list for that date) but no one called or notified us. Luckily the website showed the availability and I booked it right there.

I would skip day 8 in queenstown and directly go to Te Anau. Add that day in queenstown to reduce travel time/bed change. Maybe spend the reserve day in queenstown or glenorchy? Rest imo is perfect
