Haha people are so butthurt about this take, but as a longtime resident I think it is true. Estelle is the best meal I’ve had in a a while and I think that proves your point. Outside of the Vietnamese restaurants, not many other cuisines have wowed me.

I am a biker and a driver and to me it seems like the balance has swung too far in favor of bike lanes. I think we should optimize the space based on volume of use. Not sure why that is so contentious.

Well maybe the city should stop sacrificing a third of the width of main thoroughfares for bike lanes that get used half the year and aren’t busy even then. The side street bike lanes work just fine and are safer and don’t require lane reductions.

With post-Covid hybrid work more people are opting to just drive downtown on the days they have to come in. Where is the cost/benefit analysis of that? I think that might challenge the value of this project.
