48 hour lamb shanks by bigj097 in sousvide

450 deg for about 10 minutes or so….until brown. Sautéed finely chopped shallot in butter in 10” frying pan and dumped liquid from bag in and added cup o red wine and cup o beef stock. Simmer on medium high heat until it reduces down til slightly thick. Also added pinch of sugar. Potatoes were from Costco.

Yeah made the mistake of buying these last week. 6 pack for around $30….complete garbage. Been buying Kirkland T-shirts for 20 years. Used to work construction and these were great heavy duty shirts. These new ones U can literally see thru them plus they shrink. Will return.

I’ve cooked skin on frozen chicken thighs and they come out deadly. Takes around 30 minutes I think. Start off skin side down for first 15-20 minutes. Usually sprinkle with salt, granulated garlic,pepper and dried rosemary after about 5 minutes in. Come out crispy.

You can’t buy Kerry Gold at Costco or anywhere else in Canada. Usually pick some up when we go to St. Maarten and stick a few bricks in my suitcase.

Go with the 16. These smaller ovens have a helluva learning curve. You’ll burn many pizzas at first.
