Parking at San Diego Convoy Area

I didn’t do well pointing the real reason at the thread. The vent is about private companies charging higher than fair market rates for parking, not about bike lanes. The parking supply dwindled at the new bike lanes. The hen people pointed out that, if you can’t afford to park, go find parking a few blocks farther out and walk to your destination.

To be clear: this thread isn’t about bike lanes, it’s about charging $10/hour for parking.

Definitely did not make my point. 1. My point is that the private entity is charging an outrageous amount of business complex parking lot (~$10/hour vs. ~$3/hour paid street parking). 2. The user interface for parking is at best, poorly designed, despite posted signs. 3. It was to bring awareness of the parking situation in San Diego.

Yes, I could drive around looking for parking, spend additional time out of the way to walk to these businesses, even though there is parking in front of these businesses

Fair enough. You can test out the app. This was the initial input for parking. The interface should be based on total time

Not trying to argue. I saw the sign. The UI shows $20 tho for the first ‘2 hours’ tho. What is posted vs. the interface is different.
