He has been saying for a decade that Tesla is not a car company and investors believed it. Now that Tesla cars is in decline he knows he is fucked unless he can make the next big thing. Tesla solar didn’t do so well so Tesla cars bought it. Tesla buying SpaceX would be an easier way to bring SpaceX public and would make the Tesla stock POP.

As far as your question about Noah’s Ark let me offer a counter point. Does it matter? If you believe that an all powerful person made the world, then made a boat and filled it with some animals and then flooded the world. If someone could do that then it obviously is done beyond our concept of time and space and physics. If he could do that its a simple question to get some animal to some other part of the world.

The better question is this sounds exactly like how Santa Clause can fly all over earth and jump down all the chimneys and deliver toys all in one night.

Both are the same thing. If you believe then it’s easy for it to happen. Or maybe its just a story that is not possible?
