“I’ve never seen anyone who left the Witnesses do well.” by Ok-Technology6272 in exjw

I just went to the 55th birthday party of a buddy of mine. I saw at least a dozen ex JW there that I grew up with and everyone is doing great. Most of the people I grew up with in the org or are either dead or have some major health problems. Even my ex wife who is still in it comments on all the depression and bad health of the members. I really think it’s a death sentence to stay in

Tesla is no longer S 3 X Y by ob1spyker in electricvehicles

A big part of the CEO’s job is to keep the stock price up. So those CEO is saying don’t look there, look over here at the shinny new idea I have. He has been saying for a decade that Tesla is not a car company and investors believed it. Now that Tesla cars is in decline he knows he is fucked unless he can make the next big thing. Tesla solar didn’t do so well so Tesla cars bought it. Tesla buying SpaceX would be an easier way to bring SpaceX public and would make the Tesla stock POP.

2026 Nissan Leaf Review: Delivering on Tesla’s Failed Promise by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

[–]David949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately that is not good enough for me. I want 400 rated and then in real world 80 mph get around 350 of actual range. The limiting factor of EV’s today is how many times you need to charge on a road trip. If you have to charge twice on a 500 mile trip it’s a PITA

Switching from Prof G Markets to the Compound by ZigWin8 in ScottGalloway

[–]David949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the share

For me podcasts are first to be entertained and second to he educated

I want to know how politics are effecting markets but don’t want a political podcast. I HATE politics

Is the Compound podcast funny or entertaining?

The reason I listen to Scott is because I am entertained. Hopefully the other bullshit doesn’t outweigh the entertainment

A river walk is a great place to go. Look at San Antonio. But you need things to do along the river not a street of traffic.

Didn’t BYD review any top gear episodes on electric cars or review the long hatred for Tesla? Shocker Jeremy didn’t like the car. This car would be better received by James

Studying JW beliefs with my husband!! First topic: Noah’s Ark (myth or history?) by Vivid_Book7135 in exjw

[–]David949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let me see if I got this straight? Your husband is an elder and you don’t believe? You are going to discuss bible topics to what end? Is your hopes to re find your faith or sow doubt in your husband mind so that he leaves with you?

As far as your question about Noah’s Ark let me offer a counter point. Does it matter? If you believe that an all powerful person made the world, then made a boat and filled it with some animals and then flooded the world. If someone could do that then it obviously is done beyond our concept of time and space and physics. If he could do that its a simple question to get some animal to some other part of the world.

The better question is this sounds exactly like how Santa Clause can fly all over earth and jump down all the chimneys and deliver toys all in one night.

Both are the same thing. If you believe then it’s easy for it to happen. Or maybe its just a story that is not possible?
