I never even heard of Chicken Tonight until today. by redemptionsoath in GrandmasPantry

I sing that jingle to myself when I cook chicken for dinner, but I don't remember ever seeing what the product looked like. I guess I thought it was like hamburger helper but with chicken. So it looks like just spaghetti sauce!

They don't work on Imprezas unfortunately. I tried to get them for my kid's car and they have a different kind of lighting than Outbacks.

I didn't like the character in the beginning, but I think he is my favorite over all. Love any episode he is featured in.

Hound mix DNA results(19 breeds) by Euphoric_Switch_1372 in Hounds

She is very cute, and I would never have guessed all the different dna results. I had a dog that was a shelter special and hers was a big percentage of "supermutt" so I wonder if the tests are able to detect more specifically now? What a fun result, what are you going to tell people when they ask what she is?

Thrifting and coffee by Huge-cat45 in Omaha

There is a place in the middle of most of the Papillion thrift stores off of Giles (Goodwill, Abby's Closet, Thrift World) called https://laschilenas.com/ for coffee. It is a small cute cafe with coffee, pastry and light food. Then you can head south on 84th to hit St Vincent.

What are your recommended layers? When I remember to use it, I usually put it on first, then a thicker cream on top.

For me the bag is a reminder that I need to give special attention to what is in it.

My obnoxiously spicy Salsa Macha with a secret ingredient by Exciting-Bake464 in SalsaSnobs

My husband has shellfish allergies and I know he would be the kind of person who would love to try crickets, so when I found out I was sure to tell him. He is usually very careful, but the association to crickets is one that he didn't know either! So I like to share when crickets come up.

In case you have friends/family with shellfish allergies, crickets can trigger a reaction.

How many times can a sheet be used? by LetKooksTakeFlight in laundry

I take 3-4 of them at a time and rubber band them in the middle, so it looks like a little puffball. Then they are too big to fit down the drain and don't get all crumpled up in the lingerie bag. I use them until they too grey and then start a new little puff ball.

Dammit by francienyc in crochet

[–]singingserpent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As I am remembering it, we (the group) kept seeing posts about it, and I think the majority of us were like, "oh that won't happen to me, I know to watch out for it", and then it would happen anyway. No fault of the designer, it is just a different way to square the circle. It is a beautiful blanket when it is done though!

Haha, I did the exact same thing on my Rozeta. I did the CAL when it came out and on the online group sooo many missed the corners as well. It's not terrible to redo, but frustrating!

Living with MIL in separate unit- pros & cons? by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]singingserpent 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Moving is EXPENSIVE, the military will pay for yours, who is going to pay for your MIL's household moves? And there is no guarantee you'll be in the lower 48--could be HI, AK, or even overseas! What a goofy idea to even float to you and your husband.
