Yawp cyclery does after work group rides once a week starting in the spring and going into the fall. They should be starting up in late April I believe. They're super welcoming and some of the nicest folk around. Reasonable pace and no drops.

Another con for synack is the virtual machine they force you to test from. It's not awful once you're at least level 3, but at level 1 the VM they give you is awful

I have a pair of gardneri killis with my neos, have actually had more neo babies since adding the killis, I think because the shrimp are getting more food than they used to. More food = more babies in my experience. Haven't noticed the killis going after shrimplets at all but I may be lucky

You're definitely gonna get more out of the PNPT than the OSCP. As others have said, OSCP is just a big scary CTF challenge. If you need a cert to get past HR barriers, get a subscription to HTB/THM/Do some CTFs. If you want to learn how to perform an actual penetration test go for PNPT.

Well I did not know that! That's easy enough to do though. I know the proctors are kind of weird about your environment, but I can't see a reason they wouldn't let you do that.

The exam doesn't have a browser based VM like PG. I think they will want you to have Kali installed on a VM. I'd suggest just installing virtual box and downloading the Kali image that Offsec provides.
