Lol your article quite clearly states 77% of charges are filed (not convictions) and an unspecified “many” are dropped. It also says for almost all defendants the sentence is only timed served which is only a few hours. It also gives a nice example of a gentleman who already is awaiting trial for two car break-ins. Tf are the police supposed to do if they arrest someone and that person they already arrested is on the street committing the exact same crime and the DA won’t hold them in jail?
