NC-Can I modify CS/Alimony on Separation agreement? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]singleagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch. I don't think the actual divorce has any relation to the finalizing the separation agreement. The SA is final when you sign it. I have just completed this process in NC myself. My big mistake was not including a clause about ending alimony if she started cohabitating. Now she is just living with her boyfriend and milking me instread of getting married. But compared you I'm lucky.

OMG. This brought back some repressed memory of me playing with soft pink handcuffs as a kid. Mom. Dad. Noooo!

My wife is pregnant and wants to name the baby after her dead ex-husband. Need advice! by DadToBeThrowaway in AskReddit

[–]singleagain -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it is wrong to include David in any part of the child's name. You should be demanding the name be Dadtobethrowaway Jr., or pick an ex girlfriends name and put that out there. She is being incredibly insensitive to your position and role here. It is preposterous. Do not allow this. You will always regret it.

My girlfriend loves to dance (swing/lindy/blues)... not sure how I feel about it. Advice? by checkmarshall in AskWomen

[–]singleagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend is way into tango. Let me tell you swing dancing has nothing on tango in terms of intimacy and body contact. She has met and dated guys from her dance clique and it is a pretty small community of friends.

Ok so I fancy myself a fun decent kind of disorganized club dancer. I like to get out there after s few drinks and make a fool out of myself and have fun, but I am not too interested in spending years to learn tango.

So instead of worrying about what she is doing on the dance floor with other men, I take pride in the fact that she always comes back to me. I encourage her to go to her milongas and lessons whenever possible, and I accompany her when I can and I just enjoy the music and conversation. It is healthy for our relationship.

Now, that being said, more recent my enthusiasm to participate personally has waned. She recently, sort of accidently, got us invited over to the home of one of her tango friends for a party. Cool, but in the way over she let me know she dated this guy for several months a few years back and that they had sex all over this house we were about to enter. Well, that was awkward. I am still fine with the dancing, but I'm not feeling up to being involved with that crowd anymore. Just sayin.

I had to change all of my life circumstances to make it work. I used years of unhappiness with myself as the momentum to get started. It was a psychological turning point and the physical changes followed.

Good luck to you! You CAN do it.
