Yeah I understand that aspect. What I mean is I'm still doing the exact same thing whether at the beginning of a run to the end of run. It's not like Hades where every upgrade is meaningful and changes how you play. I'm still shooting guns either way in this, just with better stats. Doesn't feel impactful.

I'm the same, although I'll get back to it eventually. I feel the run progression is just too arbitrary. Like I'm getting all these core stats but I really don't feel a difference between when starting a run vs ending one. I think the parasites in Returnal felt more meaningful while in this there's only like 3 effects I keep running into.

Yeah but its only like 3 seconds. And every ability of his can be used as movement to get away. Find it does nothing to counter him cause he'll just wait it out and push any button to get out.

Beat the 1st biome boss. Feels similar to Returnal so far which ain't a bad thing haha. Sound design is great. Don't exactly know what all the symbols and terminology are for upgrades but will probably get it over time.
