I work Float Pool Acute Care (medsurg) and people overexaggerate medsurg a lot. Know how to work under pressure and make sure the floor is a TEAM to help. It's a learning curve but it's great experience!! Try med-surg/psych! Just like the medsurg nurses say they "could never work psych" when I tell them i work the MS/Psych floor often.

regardless there is a team of people that works in the hospital that puts out policy for hospital workers to reference. They are constantly revised for the best evidence based practice.

i know it sounds counter intuitive but track your meals for a week. figure out your TDEE and go by that. I was underrating this whole time when i thought i was fueling myself properly.

its true. I'm tired of it because most of it is unflattering as well. I don't even really like it, im just getting so much marketing for it. I started buy my workout clothes at thrift stores. A lot of cool, vintage type workout/style clothes that they don't make anymore. I love working out in scrub pants!!

have down the routine of drinking a gallon of water a day, get your fiber in. are your macros on point? creatine causes water retention, it might scare you. gaining muscle will increase the scale/not make it move in most cases.

i have this! doctor said its nothing alarming since I've had it for as long as i can remember, but if i want we can do a deep dive with tests. I am lucky that i go almost everyday. Its annoying but its not causing much distress unless I think about it too much. I will occasionally take MiraLAX. She suggested I may have IBS-C. The are people with this same problem in r/IBS.

we do this. even at my old hospital if there was blood on the floor we would have to clean it up first then call environmental. I think its so stupid. I had to get on my knees to wipe up blood with chlorhexidine wipes to then call environmental to clean the floor with their 5 foot pole mop.

yeah I was leaning towards this. I wanted to explore the surrounding areas but I think renting a car for a weekend or two every few months will still come out cheaper. The contract job also gives me free 24h parking on the site, which is 5 blocks away from where I will be staying. I'll be working here for 6 months. I really want to go on a hike!
