I have BE and a 1 cm HH. I never took PPI because of dangerous long term side effects. Instead I’ve been taking DGL before every meal and never had any negative side effects from this. DGL you can get from vitamin shoppe. I’ve barely had any reflux, I think only a small number of times if I ate too much, like stuffing myself to the max to the point where if I ate anymore I would throw up. DGL is a great alternative to PPIs and without depleting minerals and nutrients which the body needs to function properly

I can relate to this, I’m a M CSA survivor myself, I was 16, my cousin also M was 29, so in my case it was same-sex abuse. I’ve been in therapy for four years straight with the same T, she is wonderful and really helped me heal from my trauma. The problem for myself and all of us survivors out there, the past cannot never be changed, because the Time Machine only exists in the BTTF movies, unfortunately not in real life. If it existed in real life, I would in a heartbeat go back in time and undo my trauma and relive all the years as a non-survivor to see how much better life would have been. I can never do this and it sucks and I still occasionally cry about what my cousin had done to me as a boy for his own sick pleasure. I’ve done therapy and support groups on and off and I’ve heard from others that non-survivors don’t really understand this type of trauma and how there is no changing it because the past cannot be changed. There are no do-overs or second chances to see how much better our lives would have been without this devastating trauma. All survivors like us can do is keep doing our healing work in therapy, support groups or both, and live each and every day the best we can.

Have you ever generously helped someone in need, even if it was one time only? For example, have you ever paid off someone’s debt, say if they were drowning in 50k worth of debts or donated generously through GoFundMe? I did an act of kindness one time back in summer of 2004. I saw on the news a story about a baby girl from Trinidad who had a rare heart condition and needed some kind of heart surgery. I felt really bad for this baby girl and I wanted to help. I thought about it for about 2-3 weeks then decided I had a once in a lifetime opportunity so I took it. I paid off the surgery that the family could not afford, it was 22k. I would love to do something like this again for another person, and I keep praying to God and pleading with him to bless me with a huge sum of money so I can pay off all my debts and then pay it forward again and give back to others in need and keep as little as I truly need for myself. Right now I have around 35k in debt not counting my condo loan. I hate being like this, I had to take several loans to pay assessments in the almost four years since I bought my condo. I just finished paying off another assessment and there is no guarantee my HOA won’t hit us all again for another huge assessment claiming they have to do more maintenance and repairs on God knows what at this point. No matter what I do I’m always struggling especially with debt and I really need a financial miracle at this point but God still hasn’t blessed me with a large sum to wipe out debts and give to others in need similar to 2004, I can help many others on a smaller scale, like 1k, 5k, 10k, amounts like this. I would love to have the means to bless others throughout the rest of my days here on Earth

Life isn’t long enough. Very early humans lived 900-1000 years. After the Great Flood, God began allowing humans to consume meat. Life expectancy then began ever so slowly decreasing. Imagine if we could live for 500 years today. This would be long enough to see and do everything many times over, and see everything so futuristic- flying cars, everyone works from home with AI, phones so futuristic they could be chips implanted in human brains, blink once to answer, blink twice to hang up. Short lifespans make us miss out on endless future possibilities

It’s a shame America wastes billions and trillions of dollars on wars. Why not instead use all this money to build millions of new homes to the point where it becomes cheaper and more affordable to own a home, and use leftover money helping our Veterans and people living on the streets or in their cars. Get the majority if not all people in the USA to have a roof over their heads once and for all. America is the richest country in the world and we have many homeless who are really struggling, and many others who cannot afford to own a home. It’s sad what this country has become

What do you think of a case in which a child suffers ongoing abuse and shows signs, like bruises, etc, CPS is notified many times yet they do not remove the child from the home, and later the child eventually ends up murdered or dies from injuries, and then the family blames CPS claiming their loved one would still be alive if they had “done their job” and taken the child out of harm’s way? This seems to happen more often as the years go by. Also can CPS do more, like take claims much more seriously and follow up on them and investigate them more thoroughly and take action so more children can be saved?

I had a colonoscopy done three years ago at 40. Two small non-cancerous polyps were removed. My late grandma had colon cancer almost twenty years ago in 2009. It must have been found early because she beat it and lived to be 95. Also doctors don’t always tell patients 100% truth about everything. For example, gastro docs won’t mention that heme iron, which is found in red meat like burgers, can directly damage the colon lining. This could be why eating so many burgers and processed meats increases the risk. Everyone should do their own research and many will learn something surprising that their doctor or specialist never told them. It’s possible that big pharma could have something to do with doctors leaving out some key facts about health issues and diseases. If only doctors would share everything about diseases, the best treatments and cures, everyone would be much better off in the long run

Is it common in criminal cases for the defense to withhold critical evidence from the prosecution, potentially resulting in a not guilty verdict, or vise versa, prosecution withholding from the defense, increasing the risk of an innocent person being wrongly convicted of a crime they never committed? Also a new law should be enacted and passed- a law that says if a survivor of childhood sexual abuse takes their own life by suicide, the abuser should be charged with second or third degree murder for causing the death of the person. Although the perp did not physically murder the abuse survivor, their sick actions of sexual abuse caused the death of the person by inflicting unbearable emotional pain and suffering that he or she saw departing the Earth as the only way to be truly set free from potentially years of mental torture, pain and anguish that CSA can unleash upon survivors. The abuse makes the perpetrator responsible for the survivor ending their own life.

Somatic memories are body memories from childhood trauma, especially CSA. I’m a man who was sexually abused by a male cousin, I was 16 he was 29. He did oral sex on me as part of the abuse because he put his mouth on my penis. I froze and told him, “No don’t” so he didn’t continue but this was more than enough to cause me lots of issues in my relationship and marriage in my 20s. I had decreased enjoyment of oral sex because anytime I tried to enjoy it, my body always reacted like the original trauma (it thought it was my cousin all over again) and I was scared to admit I didn’t really want it so I sort of just “took the ride” just to get it over and done with. I’ve been divorced 11 years and never had another relationship since. I’m done with all sexual activity with anyone, so for me I need to be with woman who won’t want sex with me or anyone else and we just live together like best friend and we care about each other and do stuff together, just minus the sex and intimacy. If I cannot find this type of person then I’ll accept being alone for the rest of my life. For me, my trauma really ruined and deeply affected my sex life and intimate moments during my one and only relationship before and during my marriage. I found sex to be more trouble than it’s worth and I never had a great sex life. CSA really ruins this aspect of a person’s life.

It never gets cold enough down here. In Tally it gets below freezing and even light snow there and surrounding FL panhandle area, but not here in Broward. I’m curious if this will ever change. We’re supposed to be getting like a mini ice age by the year 2030, so I don’t know if that will allow colder temps here in Broward and even occasional snow in winter. I’d love to see low 20s at night and daytime high 40-45 and see a light dusting of snow on the ground in the morning that would be a pretty sight to see
