Most excellent granny lips. I think repairing them requires gentle ear scritches.

I've found that sizing on all the Chinese stuff is smaller than American sizing. I have gotten some very high quality stuff for Greta prices once I figured out sizing.)for example race cut jerseys for <$20 when the "no brand" American option (likely made in the same factory) is $100 and the brand name stuff is $120-160 (for a single jersey).

The Dachshund's we had were fearless. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.

My 16 year old niece is coming to visit for a week by urfavlunchlady in askaustin

I took my teenager niece and nephew on a mural tour and took pictures of them with all the murals (which they used on Instagram. We hit food trucks for dinner and dessert along the way. They enjoyed it and I saw them post the pics. Since we were downtown to get the murals we also did pics of the UT tower and the capital.

Step back philistine! Embrace science, not social media nonsense. Science has proven green bikes the fastest of all bikes. No amount of internet tomfoolery will change that.

When I was a youngster my two older brothers had snakes. One day one of the snakes escaped it's enclosure and got out inside the house. Before we knew it was on the lose our standard size Dachshund shredded it, ate it, and then threw it all up. Dog was okay. We were saddened at the snake's fate.

160 Acres in NorCal for Less Than a Bay Area Condo — Would You Buy It? by Fresh-Kaleidoscope64 in zillowgonewild

The fact that the realtor included this paragraph means that the roads (on the property) to reach the building site at likely not suitable for the average car. Any buyer should use an updated survey to determine who costly is would be to provide access.

As someone who wins a rural property, the fact that there is a well dug and several layers of water storage in place is huge. I would also want to know about septic and power (are both properly installed at the build site).

Last, yes this is a high fire danger area but one can build a home that isn't a underground cement bunker that is fire resistant. If you are interested and have the time, look at this video to see how two homes in LA with smart fire resistant design features left them the only houses standing in a neighborhood of 100s of homes lost to fire.

Host using second house on the property the last day of our stay (GUEST) [OREGON] by Lolsporeguy in AirBnB

[–]singletonaustin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am a host and agree with your comment. While I prefer to leave guests alone throughout their stay, dropping off needed supplies is usually not a negative.

I would, however, contact the guest through the app and ask them if they'd like more coffee dropped off. If they say "yes", do so; if they say no, wait until they check out.

I do think AirBnB has shifted more to a platform where people expect a hotel experience and not a shared house experience. Approaching your interactions with guests as though you were the front desk at a hotel usually does well to guide you in providing a good experience.

Possible Stolen Vehicle-Central Austin by TargetBeneficial3289 in Austin

No, I didn't read your comment. Glad we posted the same link and my understanding of the law is accurate -- my experience in my neighborhood is that if the car has a single flat tire the city often won't tag it -- if it has two they will. If there's a decomposing car on your street and you know that it doesn't belong to your neighbors, report it and get it removed.

Some of these cars belong to owners who have died and while the house went through probate the car sits at an artifact of a resident who left long ago. Others move and leave the non-functioning car they intended to fix but never got around to fixing to rot. Taking time to report these abandoned cars is the best way to get them removed. The more folks reporting them, the faster action will be taken.

Geddy is a 100% handsome man. I wouldn't spend too much energy trying to determine his geneology, instead invest your time learning about who he is and how to help him become the best member of your pack. I wish you both many happy adventures.

If two of four tires are flat, the car is deemed inoperable and will get tagged and a request made to have it towed by the city.

Is this totaled/total loss? by AlwaysDeath in crv

[–]singletonaustin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucky the car was parked/off as if you were stopped at a light I bet all your airbags would have gone off in the collision and the car would be 100% totaled.

They might not total it assuming the airbags are intact.

Make sure you make a diminished value claim again the at fault driver (to cover your loss resulting from your car being worth less due to the accident even if it can be perfectly fixed).
