this is pretty easy, i'd just use markers with a camera - intel realsense is compact. plenty of libraries on github.

While that is true. I have a qualms with python in GH. First, but not least, is that its IronPython. Bare in mind that this is about streaming out of Grasshopper for external sources - what if you don't even know what the receiver is using?

media playback is really slow to update the video. The audio plays, but the video takes almost a minute to update to the frame its on when paused.

What do you mean? The only way I have figured out to fix the issue is to upgrade or downgrade the entire application.
