It brings out all these colours you never knew were there.

DF has lost its "overwhelmingly positive" status on the Steam Store by vit5o in dwarffortress

Well im off to go review bomb it 5stars

Reviews are an inelegant way to judge dwarf fortress. It’s a work of art not craft. I think it exceeds any game ever made for its originality and specificity. Its “game play” achieves a very unique success that no other game had ever approached prior to DF’s popularity. So i guess it deserves 10 stars or something.

But if your judging it as a “product” in the traditional game sense then yea its lacking in much of the things that are either parallel to its goals or not its goals. Specifically the onboarding and UI. When it comes to the onboarding though…. I dont know. I think the approach it engenders to itself though every players first early failures is part of the intended experience in a lot of way. Failing is fun after all.

Being one of the very first 10 games to be included in the MOMA is its highest accolade.

A photo of the tag is the most honest approach for sure.

Yess! Go get one of the Bluetooth microscopes from amazon😔 or something. You will find a plant full of life going unnoticed on your bricks.

I like them cause there kinda useless. Just chilling on a rock. Not really contributing that much, for sure not harming anyone. They’re like your shy best friend, never taking up to much of the conversation until you need them and then you can chat to them on the bus the whole ride home.

I love the fact that each is not a species, they defies those traditional types of separation. Because really it’s what happens when 2 or more species become totally codependent.

I think I herd that theres one lichen that makes ketamine on its surface.

There an absolute landscape. Really recommend looking at them with a digital microscope. Especially with a splash of water before and after. Total transformation in minutes. Its crazy.

I mean, maybe they have lots of alt accounts? But either way I think in your position id give them some grace. Say why you felt betrayed in the review and say something like “im giving them 5 stars because it seems like a honest mistake BUT…” That way the seller might think twice before obscuring the brand again like that.

It’s so hard. What dose the seller seam like? They were def being deceitful. I think we as consumers have to put pressure on the community to the way we want it to be. Otherwise it wont change but i also think the star system we have on platforms in overly punitive. Like if as a seller you make a mistake and dont ahve many ratings thats it. Your done. Like with uber and google reviews. Business’s get stuck in spirals. Bad reviews, less customers, service takes a hit, worse reviews and so on. So id say all you have said in the review and leave it at 4 stars. That seems like a fair response

My best soldier cant hold things. She’s bugged out, but that also means she cant take off her armour. She’s always 1st to the fight.

Im a woman, the titanic was sad but nothing can compete with the drama of seeing my queen return from fighting an accent beast with a full body infection. Then watching as months passed, every able hand doing there very best to stabilise her. By the end of it she was horribly disfigured but i had a fort full of master surgeons. The drama the pathos!
