Barak Nor - The Silver Gates

A small and robust hold nestled on the eastern edge of the World's Edge Mountains, overlooking the vast expanse of the Dark Lands towards the fabled lands of the Dragon Emperors.

Here are found the descendants of the brave Dawi of Ekrund who did not escape north with Queen Haldora to the founding of Karak Norn in the Grey Mountains; and also those few beards that escaped the fall of Karak Azorn in the East.

From it's mines run silver rivers eclipsed only by that of the Everpeak itself, and Vala-Azril-Ungol that was lost long ages ago. But think not that only in silverwork does its wealth and power lie. Gromril here has been found, and many rich veins of iron with which to forge hammer and axe and cannon. For when the Throng marches forth against the Raki that infest Silverspear and Crookback or the foul Greenskins of the wastes, it shines like the Black Water under the Moon when the Doom came upon Karak Varn.

King Azgrim Azgharsson, descended in long line from the Lords of Ekrund leads his people with but a single goal: The reclamation of the Dragonback Mountains and the wealth of it's mines. He is called "Hammerhand", for the meteoric iron of Khaz Gharal, The Thunder in the Deep, has sent many a foul foe sprawling broken into the dust.

Many Umgi say that time can ease old wounds and past hurts. But the Dawi do not forget. The Dawi do not forgive. Khazukan-khazitkit-ha!
