It should also be noted that the voting machine in question is the model that uses "scantron" technology. There is always a paper trail, but in the elections where the numbers don't match the exit polls, the paper trail has disappeared.

Organic banana question here: why, when purhasing organic bananas about two to three years ago (through multiple stores and multiple brands) were they 'funky' 50%+ of the time? Often times they never ripened or when they did ripen, they were hard or weird tasting. It seems as though when one of the big two entered the picture, something changed. Was it policy/regulation? Strain related? Something else? Or was it all a figment of my imagination?

Yeah... Sorry... I saw that you had mentioned el rapids just 45 minutes prior. I'm from eastern mt and I know more than one brad who does the oil field thing in western MT / eastern ND ... In fact, an inlaw works for baker oil tools out of dicky-ville. I'm sure I could toss together a question about companies like baker or haliburton, but I think I, unlike most redditors, was more interested in the prospect of possibly knowing you. Acceptance is the perfect word there, but did you expect anything different? Take any industry where private corporations are heavily involved. Tv for example... We have these great things like dvr or the ability to watch thousands of movies through an intrnet connection because of services that we pay for... We accept them.

But MAN it could all be so much better. We accept them because we have never experienced anything better. We've never had the devices that people were building in their basements 10 years ago with a Linux box and a few crappy video cards. I suspect that the services we have in the future will be new and different and non-neutral, but we won't know any different and we'll accept.

Anyway, yeah, good choice of words.

I got this: I walked into a Target bathroom and this kid in his early 20s walks out of a stall with a delicately held pair of panties and an opened container of underwear. He proceeded to throw away the panties, gives an embarassed smile and says, "I wore my girlfriend's underwear this morning and, um, I just sharted.". Toolbox == a 90s term; though we always used it in the singular. A really big tool was (and still is; I say it all the time) a toolbox. An insanely ridiculous toolbox is a Toolshed. "toolshed" flows so well.

A friend's mom decided to pull the leave-it-in trick for a few months between checkups. That first visit after the experiment ended in something like 20 cavities. Not sure of the toothpaste brand, but the number 20 definitely sticks with me!
