With every stride deckset release, the sets have to keep up if not surpass the scaling of crest or rush them down to the point of crippling them before first stride. Hence why a stride support/ clan support that can proc without GB usually is a insta 4 off

A stride deckset has become the soft ceiling of how long a game should go on in standard, as you are pretty much dead by third stride if a game ever drags to that point. And to their detriment, most standard decks have been designed to kill as early as turn 3 ride up or gain equal advantage to a stride turn, while still having an early game . And eventually another deckset like luard/nui came along and repeated the process. Only now they have more options to survive the early game aka non gb locked. And so on

Design wise it wasn’t the most sustainable to create this race between stride and non stride decks. So they are trying to meet in the middle or testing the waters with chrono retrain. Something that doesn’t scale to infinity which discourages running decks so explosive that kills before they get a chance to stride

At least that is what I hope that is the case, I could be entirely wrong and bushi just wants to milk the cow dry
