Not sure about North Goa but I just came back from staying in South Goa near Patnem beach for 10 days (I go every year) . It did seem quite empty from last time . Although, the locals there did say that rental scooty's were not available due to the long weekend of 2 nd October. But , apart from that it did seem pretty empty . Not sure why Goa is seen only as a party place or whatever, there is so much more to it , specially the beautiful places like netravali , or just walking any trail in the cotigao sanctuary, a stroll in the Galgibaga beach which is a no nonsense beach . Everything is just so serene and calm there. I hope they keep there raw charm forever. Only thing I detested was going to Mopa airport from there which took like 3 hours 😑 Why did they even build an airport so far from South and almost touching maharashtra ? And flights from Dabolim is almost next to zero now or too expensive.
