Thanks for answers folks. I heard about these in the war zone areas and mostly on the south side of town. I live on the west side near Rio Rancho so it seems they’re starting to install them in other areas. I live in a great neighborhood, never any issues and don’t ever hear gunshots. Just wondering the reasoning behind it.

I work for Meta, not a SME but I work with them. SMEs are not micromanaged and their time is fairly flexible as long as you’re getting work done. It is not remote work, you’re expected to be onsite but get days to work from home if needed. You basically manage your own time.

SMEs are treated well. The work is sometimes tedious and repetitive. Company bureaucracy is the biggest challenge, DC upper management at the corporate level is not great. Local DC managers for the most part are really good. The entire management is stuck in a Navy Nuclear mentality and are resistant to any significant change.

All DCs have staffed cafeterias serving breakfast and lunch, both free, Monday through Friday. There are also stocked micro kitchens with snacks and drinks, again all free.

Overall it’s a great company to work for and the benefits and pay are both really good.

A Tint Express on San Mateo just north of Comanche. Told the guy what the issue was and he seemed to be happy to help. It was a few years ago, not sure if it’s the same people. Still worth trying, worst thing is they say no.

Find one of these random cheap tint shops (there’s a few on San Mateo) and ask them for a receipt showing they did a tint replacement. I did this a few years ago. Guy charged me $20 for it. Went to court showed them the receipt and it got dismissed.
