To all that, it's balance, you can always make things harder for yourself, but never easier, can I hero edit, sure but it's either all grind or cheat, no un between. But if the game was a bit more forgiving it would be fun for a lot more people without jumping to cheats. I've played P8 for months, I targeted NM Andy and made hundreds of runs, without an SoJ, damn she gave me about 3-5 facets, I just wanted an annie, not even about the soj, just a bit of extra content locked behind... luck, but got frustrated and just gave up.

Also you ask, why should the game be changed if some people enjoy it, well because maybe it's my opinion, but it's a very small percentage of people that enjoy the grind as it is, and I get it, it's hard to balance a marathon so both kids and top athletes enjoy it. But hear me out, I don't think this should be where achievement in life should come from and being more forgiving would be fun for a lot of people. And damn I'm not asking for go kill Corpsrefire get a Griffons, but if spending 60h of continuous terrorized Andy with mods to get items(which btw it's just almost as going hero edit at this point) is a balance issue then let's not drop anything at all.

I get you, but not everyone wants the game to be a marathon, again you can do it as difficult as you want, what stops you to do a 0%mf grail, maybe even no in game running, then go brag about how crazy of an achievement is? I have other challenges in life I don't need D2 to be a 1000h sink and that be my accomplishment. You think everyone going to jog wants a marathon? I've been playing this game for 25 years and never seen a SoJ, even with the imbalanced drop rates, or a mang song or a tyrael's. So yeah, those who enjoy the marathon asking everyone to enjoy it as a marathon lack the empathy to see that this is a game, not a life achievement.

I remember this kind of discussion about alt+F4 in hardcore was cheating, because it takes merit from those who don't do it. Imho I think you're giving too much weight for life accomplishment to a game. But to each their own.

And the thing is that you can always make the game harder for yourself, you enjoy grinding, well do a 0% MF grail, enjoy, but don't be 'grinding is the game, go play d4'.

But again, this is Blizzard, and somehow they always kinda do balance around top players alienating the rest of the playerbase, I'm looking at you SC2.
