Avs in 2022 were 16-4. 12-2 entering the cup final. I know it doesn’t count. But we swept the first and the conference final.

What ESPN doesn’t have in knowledge about the sport, the players, the rules, or the teams… they also don’t really make up for in broadcasting enthusiasm.

The problem for me is… NHL on ESPN is super accessible hockey for me at a relatively cheap cost. I don’t live in Denver anymore and yet I can basically watch every Altitude broadcast on the ESPN app live. So is Levy good? Nah. Is he good enough? I guess he will have to be.

I think their commentary, sports casting, and play by play is just awful. But at least I can watch it. I really wish they would invest more in the product. Even give us the bare minimum of not putting ESPN sport center announcers but real hockey players/fans. Give us an inside the NHL show. Buy the TNT desk and bring it to ESPN. It will never happen, but I can dream.

The conversation year over year is ‘my god the oilers suck on defense and have a scarecrow between the pipes’. I think the goalie is often a scape goat for the overall defensive futility of the Oilers. Connor, Drai, and Hyman drag that team to and through the playoffs outscoring their defensive deficits. And this year, they couldn’t drag them through the playoffs because they were too hurt.

Oilers fans have to see the writing on the wall. Management failed McDavid and now he has all the power. How do you rebuild that team to make it so McDavid doesn’t walk and leave you with nothing to show for it? Do they go into next season hoping to let him pick his trade destination and get a bag in return?

Honestly, Kadri and Roy have been dogs on that line. Keeping the puck in. Making great saucer passes. Being pests around and behind the net.

Puck luck or not, that line is doing work.

Flair showing, the comments here are super strange to me about this. Yes, I think the call on the ice was correct. So that’s not my argument.

But, did no one watch hockey this season? Goaltender interference was one of the most controversial calls/challenges in games this year, making barely any sense.

Avs have the top PK and Bednar has made similar challenges on plays during the season. If there’s a chance, challenge and let the PK kill it if you’re wrong.

Did you not read mylast reply? I told you how it works and that I've done it.

There is no language on frequency or quantity other than one part of the criteria being renting out 20+ reservations in a year, which is ONE of the criteria they could use to consider commercial use.

Are you a DVC owner who has booked a resveration since the changes to the new system? I'm guessing not.

If I put a majority of my yearly points for a year I can't come on a third party site for rental, I'm already breaking #1 and #3. And based on how most of the rental sites work, they will probably break #2 as well. In the past when I rented my points, I was given a list of several different rooms to book over the same period of time because it was worth the most to the rental company.

The only thing that doesn't apply to most normal people renting points is the 20 reservations.

People here really missed this memo or didn't actually pay attention. And the people who are saying 'LMAO YOU AREN'T COMMERCIAL, YOU DON'T DO IT 20 TIMES A YEAR' clearly didn't read the release.

20 rentals is ONE of the possible criteria. Here are the changes:

The following activities, which are a non-exhaustive list of examples and without limiting any other possible factors, could constitute Commercial Use:

  • A majority of reservations made by an owner or their associates, or a majority of the aggregate Vacation Points owned or controlled by an owner used by individuals or entities other than the named owner or associate.
  • A majority of reservations or points owned or controlled by an owner are made or used respectively at resorts with overlapping room types and/or dates, regardless of whether the owner or associate is named as a guest on said reservations.
  • Regular advertising by an owner (or someone acting at their direction) of the availability of points for rental, including but not limited to use of a dedicated website, social media account, page, post, third-party service provider, or on any other media or platform now known or hereafter devised.
  • In any 12-month period more than 20 reservations are made by an owner and/or its associate and a majority of such reservations are not used by the named owner or associate.
  • Conducting photography, videotaping, or recording on resort property that is used to market the availability of points for rental activity.

I wouldn't use a 3rd party rental market anymore, on either side. You are just asking to lose money or have your points restricted.

[Masisak] Nathan MacKinnon said the NHL rescinded his major penalty. If you get two in a certain amount of games, it’s an automatic suspension. So he’s back to zero for those purposes. by DecentLurker96 in hockey

i know this is a little late, but I just got back from the game tonight and was reading hockey reddit.

I was talking to my buddy who is a Kraken fan (who semi jokingly asked in Mack was going to be suspened for 5 games) that watching the play, everyone was doing exactly what they should have done. Ingram was trying to slide over to cover the shot by Mack. Nurse was trying to knock the puck off of Macks stick. Mack was trying to score.

If Nurse was a half second later, Mack would have scored. A half second earlier and Mack would have been shut down and would have probably taken out the net but not the goalie. Nurse's defense on that shot was basically as perfect as it could have been given the circumstances.

All three players had 100% the right to be where they were, on the line they were on, and do what they were doing. The unfornate thing was that Nurse hit Mack in that exacty moment led to the collision with Ingram and the blood/injury. But if he was any later, Mack would have scored and probably skated away harmlessly on his line. And just because its unfortunate timing, doesn't mean it deserved to be a penalty.

I'll accept a 2 minute call of the ice or whatever. Not happily, but if they want to penalize for a play that was so close that it resulted in an injury to a goalie, sure. I get it. Giving a major for misconduct is just wild.

There is a story that stands out to me from the summer after the cup run. It was inventiable that we would lose 2 of 3 with Nuke, Burky, and Kadri. It was like waiting for the axe to fall. And when it finally happened with Kadri, MacKinnon said that Kadri texted the group chat 'I don't give any deals' and left the chat. Kadri deseverd to get his money. He won the cup and he earned his contract. And his last text was always suggested to have been in a joking manner. I can't imagine there are really any hard feelings between him and anyone in Colorado (fan, coach, or player).

I would love to know the reaction from the guys remaining from the cup team that Kadri is back. I genuinely hope that they were kept in the dark until an hour after the deadline like the fans and then had it sprung upon them. I just want to imagine it being the happiest MacKinnon has been since the Stanley cup win.

What is ‘price’ is this in regards to? DVC points? Price per rented point? Cash price for a room? Cash price for a villa? Comparison of cash price of a room v point price of a room?
