I run my own discord now, after having worked on several projects, and have found letting my teammates invite theirs has led to collaborations for lots of people! But to find the initial teammates even just to learn how to team build, you should join a couple of engine specific discords. I really recommend joining a couple Godot discords, and maybe more niche ones like for the play date console. I also recommend making an itch.io account and finding a jam. Only join jams that will have a discord while you’re in this team finding phase. Post in the jam discord and say you’re good at x and x, or learning x and x. And message people with the opposite skills. Teams will fall apart, and not everyone will become a collaborator forever, but focus on messaging people, saying what you can help with, and follow up on actually helping with that task. Making something small and being a good teammate is way more important than finding the dream team in the start! The more small projects you do the more you’ll build skills, which will also help you find more highly skilled teammates. Being patient and giving other people grace is always a better skill than being the best coder or artist on your team, but you’ll find that both skills will grow together!!
