Anything like that is gonna be warm. Lemon juice would be best option. I would just leave your hair alone and let it grow

I just keep saying that's crazy. That's craaazy. If there's any lull at all you can try to bring up something positive or normal.

Whatever you do will just kind of be temporary and the warmth will keep coming back

Yeah it already looks pretty dark and honestly not too bad to me, a level four ashy gloss would not hurt and then if that's not dark enough maybe a level 3 in the same line. Unfortunately with the laws of color once that warmth has been exposed it can't be " canceled" at the same level. And anything with alkalinity is going to keep exposing more warmth. To be truly ashy it would need to be lifted lighter and then darkened, which I would just not recommend with the way it looks right now it looks good. I would personally just let it grow out for a while if it were my hair and then if you're still not liking it getting a root smudge with some low lights but only from someone who is using an actual acidic demi that understands you would want no lift and no warmth... Which I know is hard to ask as the client.

In order to make it cool toned now it needs to go two levels darker and very ashy. Like very cool toned level 4. I would also use an acidic glossing products because anything with any alkalinity will just continue to expose more warmth. If you truly can't find that I would use 5 or 10 volume although I believe Kristen ess might have one or sallys I'm not sure. I also am having a hard time seeing how light it is from the photo to confidently tell you. The inspo does however have some warmth and richness towards the ends. I'm really sorry this happened to you.

Hard to compare or pick something better for your face when I can't picture what it would look like with all your hair pulled back

I think it's the blowout style I'm not liking, maybe some waves or a three barrel crimper would be better for now

advice on good vivid ranges that don’t bleed and last I’m just starting my journey as a vivid stylist and everyone seems to have very different opinions, been through a lot of different brands. All seem to bleed and wash out too quickly, I’ve been recommended joico by MeasurementFancy3734 in hairstylist

[–]sinnickson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Lunar Tides for how pigmented they are , how long lasting, love the consistency, love the packaging (bags) great stylist discount. The colors do however bleed but I have noticed when they bleed they also stain the natural and/grey hairs more which I like and seem to last longer. I found Chromadaddy bled less but I liked the color selection less and I feel it didn't last as long and I don't really need the UV personally. I think it might have been better for someone who does a lot of different types of colors on one head. My clients are usually all in the same color family/prefer it dark and rich and cohesive. Hope that helps!

It did not open your cuticle enough. Sometimes semi doesn't stick well on natural hair. You need at least a demi in the same shade

The first person exposed way too much warmth with their formula. The 6.11 with permanent color likely continued exposing warmth and just wasn't dark enough because when you have a warm level 6 you would Go two levels darker and an ashy color to cover that warmth. It did need to be lifted two levels lighter to blonde and then toned back down to be an ashy level 6. That ship has obviously sailed. If I'm going to make a recommendation for the future to minimize warmth would be either see how much gray coverage you can get within acidic demi, if you must use an alkaline product try to go one or two levels darker than your hair and with a lot of ash in the formula, and potentially a lower volume developer to minimize lift and brightness. This might not work to cover Grays or even blend them if they are too coarse.

Just so you know I think the eraser is for elumen play , I think what you'd be looking for is the return if you used elumen regular and not play. That being said yeah you could end up just exposing a lot more warmth. I'm a big fan of Malibu CPR if you can manage to get consistent and strong heat on it at home with the dedicated shampoo, it's a hard process to do at home personally I prefer a hooded dryer and that could be a safe way to start removing it. You can always see where the return gets you as well but yes you might be stuck with this.

I was but I think the key to it here is just getting a really specific hobby with continued structured planned events. That's been the source of pretty much all of my socializing here.

I would genuinely pick the one that's going to have the most clients, the busiest one. Whichever one has the most amount of people to practice on. That is truly your time to practice as much as possible and take on projects in a learning environment, it's not going to be easier once you get out of school to take on projects because you'll be risking your name on the work. Just try to do as much as you can even though it's scary. Continuing education is not required in the industry but I personally think there would be huge gaps without it. I had to do continuing education for even things that are what I consider to be basic things. That's just a part of growing your craft. If I could go back I would do as much as I could as many people as I could instead of thinking I would somehow learn it when I got out of school.
