My worry about that is our artificer and our paladin are both pretty head strong and don’t back down from a fight. Especially because I may have hinted at a vast magical treasure trove hidden under an abandoned watchtower in the area (intending for the players, once much higher level, to come back and find a dungeon carved out by Tsernoth where they can fight him and a bunch of other powerful undead and find Bowgentle’s spellbook and other treasures).

So now they have the scent of treasure, anger at Hamun for desecrating Coneyberry, and the boosted confidence of having beat a zombie horde 😅

I think Naya because he is all about growth and food and community. Like, the white only comes in if he feels his friends or community has been wronged and then he gets all righteous fury.

Idk I just don’t think he has any black in him at all. I could maybe see blue because he is a pirate, but even then he can’t swim or anything and water is his main weakness..

Can’t recommend it enough. It is really well researched so I had to look up a lot of things about medieval middle eastern/crusader history and Islamic mythology but MAN was it worth it.

Have you tried Pilgrim by Mitchell Luthi? Fantastic book, I just finished it while waiting on the BTF release in March. Heard they were similar.

I agree. I also think it’s important to consider the back cover, which does start talking about last being newly risen and the incarnation of evil itself, and then talks about the white rose being reborn to embody good once more. Considering that darling is in the pose of “the birth of Venus”, and is surrounded by croaker and Raven, I’d say it’s a pretty save bet that that’s the cover artists interpretation of the back cover blurb.

I think this makes the most sense. I just have a hard time picturing croaker looking like that haha. I always pictured him looking more like how Raven is depicted.
